APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING DROWSY DRIVING
Disclosed are an apparatus, a system and a method for managing drowsy driving. The apparatus for managing drowsy driving includes a communication device that transmits vehicle information to a server and receives a drowsiness probability of a driver from the server, and a controller that generates a command when the drowsiness probability of the driver exceeds a reference value and determines whether the driver is in a drowsy state based on input information of the driver responding to the command.
HYDRAULIC MARINE VESSEL DOOR ASSEMBLY
A deployable platform is disposed at a side of the hull of a marine vessel and is movable between a raised position in which the platform is substantially vertically oriented, and a first lowered position in which the platform is in a horizontal orientation. Further, at least a portion of the platform can be lowered to a second lower position that is below the first lowered position. In the second lowered position the platform will normally be submerged when the vessel is afloat in water. In the raised position the platform forms a portion of the side of the hull and acts to exclude water from entering the vessel.
Hinge coupling assembly
A hinge coupling assembly includes a first coupling incorporated within a first hinge section coupled to a door, including a first end and an opposite second end connecting a first coupling passage formed within the first coupling, and a second coupling incorporated within a second hinge section separate from the first hinge section and coupled to a door frame, the second coupling including a first end and an opposite second end connecting a second coupling passage formed within the second coupling. Connection and disconnection of the first coupling to the second coupling to create a single sealed continuous passage formed by the first coupling passage and second coupling passage is simultaneous upon installation and removal of the door to the door frame. The sealed continuous passage is maintained upon radial and axial displacement of the first coupling with respect to the second coupling upon opening and closing of the door.
Window balance assembly
A window balance assembly may include a carrier, a spring element, and a mounting bracket. The spring element may include first and second portions. The first portion may be coupled to the carrier. The mounting bracket may engage the second portion of the spring element and may selectively engage the carrier.

Protection device for a window opening of a motor vehicle
A protection device for a window opening of a motor vehicle, with a window pane shiftable between a closed position closing the window opening and an open position opening the window opening, at least one shading structure shiftable between a window shading position and a window unblocking position, and a cable drive system for driven shifting of the window pane and/or of the shading structure and having a drive and a cable strand movable by the drive. A mechanical coupling arrangement which, depending on the position of the window pane, the shading structure and movement of the cable strand, is transferable between a first coupling state, in which the shading structure is coupled to the cable strand for the driven shifting and the window pane is decoupled therefrom, and a second coupling state, in which the shading structure is decoupled from the cable strand and the window pane is coupled to the cable strand for the driven shifting.
SAFETY CHARACTERISTIC INDICATION SYSTEM FOR A DOOR ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Various embodiments are directed to apparatuses, methods, and systems for promoting identification of a door being suitable for selective use as a safety device. In various embodiments, a hinge assembly comprises a first hinge plate configured for coupling with a door; a second hinge plate configured for coupling with a wall portion; a hinge pin disposed within a central hinge sleeve defined by an interlocking configuration of one or more first knuckles defined by the first hinge plate and one or more second knuckles defined by the second hinge plate; and one or more door safety characteristic indicator provided at one or more surface of the hinge assembly, the one or more door safety characteristic indicator being configured to provide a perceivable indication that the door is suitable for selective use as a safety device.
Hinge brace for painting doors
A hinge brace for supporting doors to be painted is provided. The brace is connected to standard door hinge hardware using either the existing door hinge pin or a disposable pin of smaller diameter. By allowing the bracing of multiple doors at the hinge, the painter can more safely and efficiently prepare and paint multiple doors in one painting session. The hinge brace of the present invention accommodates supporting two or more doors for painting and saves time by not requiring the painter to remove door hinge hardware.
Garage Door Window
This invention is directed toward a window for a garage door panel, where the window has an opening that is surrounded by a body portion, and can be manufactured as part of the manufacture of a garage door panel, or retrofitted into an existing garage door panel. The window has a sliding door that can be slid open to allow for air ventilation, and has bars so that pets cannot escape through the window when it is open, and some combination of a sliding screen and optional security bars to keep insects out and keep pets in the garage. The optional security bars can be bolted or otherwise attached to the panel, thereby not only strengthening the panel but also making it harder for pets to escape and any burglars to enter.
Access control system
An access control system for restricting access through a passageway includes a shaft rotatable about a central axis; a barrier fixed to the shaft to rotate therewith; and a brake assembly. The brake assembly includes a sun gear rotatable about the central axis, a carrier, and a ring gear, wherein one of the carrier or the ring gear is fixed against rotation and the other of the carrier or ring gear is connected to the shaft to rotate therewith. A plurality of planet gears are rotatably connected to the carrier, each planet gear being disposed between and engaging with each of the sun gear and the ring gear. An electromagnetic brake comprises an electromagnet and an armature. The armature is connected to or integral with the sun gear to rotate and move axially therewith. At least one of the electromagnet or the armature is moveable between an operative position and an inoperative position.
