Casement Window Opening Control Device with Sliding Arms

A device may limit opening of a sash hingedly coupled to a master frame, and includes: a bracket attached to the sash; a first arm having a first end pivotally coupled to the bracket; a second arm having a first end pivotally coupled to the first arm's second end; means for biasing the second arm into a retracted position; and a release assembly. The release assembly is secured to the master frame and includes a hook pivotable between a first position and a second position, which, in the first position, may be releasably received in an opening in the second end of the second arm when the second arm is in the retracted position, as the sash is closed and received within the master window frame The second arm is disengaged from the hook, permitting full opening of the sash, when the hook is pivoted into the second position.

Method for actuating a drive means of a window positioning device for positioning a window pane of a vehicle, and control device suitable therefor

A drive device of a window positioning device positions a window of a vehicle to selectively cover a window opening. The drive device is operated by a control device. When the window is fully closed, the drive device is operated (a) in an opening direction and then (b) in a closing direction. The operation of the drive device is carried out depending on a drive parameter. In a), using a first value of the drive parameter, the drive device is brought into a first reduced load position, and in b), using a second value of the drive parameter, the drive device is brought into a second reduced load position in which the window positioning device is in a reduced load state. A control device and a window positioning device are used.

Device and method for driving a door

To improve the energy efficiency of electrical drive systems for doors, the electric motor is actuated position-dependently, the electrically driven door is disconnected from the supply network in a resting position, a change of position of the door performed in the state of being disconnected from the grid is detected by a position encoder unit that is independently supplied with power by an energy store, and the change of position is used for position-dependently actuating the electric motor after the supply voltage has been reapplied.

Actuation system for a closure panel including a pop up safety system for hinges

An actuation system for facilitating opening and closing of a closure panel of a vehicle via a hinge, the actuation system comprising: a pop up safety system mounted to a body of the vehicle adjacent to the hinge, the pop up safety system including a bracket connected to the closure panel; and a coupling mechanism coupling the hinge to the body in order to facilitate moving the closure panel from a closed hinge position to an open hinge position, such that the bracket is also connected to the coupling mechanism; wherein when the pop up safety system is operated, the bracket is decoupled from the coupling mechanism in order to facilitate movement of the closure panel away from the coupling mechanism.

Garage door emergency ventilation system

The present invention relates to a garage door emergency ventilation system primarily comprised of at least one track, at least one screen assembly, and at least one control module. The system can be attached to a panel of a garage door, wherein the control module has at least one sensor that preferably detects carbon monoxide. Once the sensor has detected carbon monoxide above a threshold value, the control module communicates with a motor to retract a fastener from an inner track within the track that is attached to the screen assembly. At the same time, the control module communicates with a garage door opener of the garage door to open the garage door. The screen assembly falls downward to cover the opening left by the opened garage door. The screen assembly further prevents individuals from getting into the garage while allowing carbon monoxide gas to vent from the garage.

Control of a power tailgate system responsive to clutch slippage

A method for controlling a power tailgate in a vehicle power tailgate system includes steps of controlling operation of a motor to attempt to lower or raise a tailgate operably connected to the motor, determining that a clutch interposed between the motor and the tailgate (and operably connected to the motor and the tailgate) slipped by at least a predetermined slip amount during operation of the motor to attempt to lower or raise the tailgate and, responsive to the determination that the clutch slipped by at least the predetermined slip amount, generating an alert indicating a need for manual reset of the tailgate.

TENSIONER FOR WINDOW REGULATOR

A tensioner for a window regulator for raising and lowering a window of a vehicle, including: a first tensioner support; a second tensioner support; a spring disposed between the first tensioner support and the second tensioner support; and an adjusting sleeve configured to engage features of the first tensioner support as the second tensioner support is moved away from the first tensioner support due to a biasing force of the spring.

DOOR ASSEMBLY AND COMPONENTS FOR PROVIDING ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC) SHIELDING
20250305354 · 2025-10-02 · ·

A door assembly provides EMC shielding to provide EMI/RFI protection. The door assembly has an EMC door frame, an EMC door, and EMC seals for maintaining a circuit between the door frame, the floor (e.g., threshold, flooring, etc.), and/or the door. The door assembly may also utilize one or more EMC elements (e.g., EMC tape, paint, adhesive, coatings, caulk, etc.) that may be used to create the circuits between the components of the door assembly and/or with other components of the building (e.g., between the door frame and the wall). The EMC shielding is used to reduce (e.g., limit, block, etc.) the levels of electrogenic interference (EMI)/radio frequency interference (RFI) radiation that is able to pass by the shielding. Moreover, the door assembly also provides improve additional door assembly performance (e.g., sound, weather, air flow, heat, cold, or the like abatement, energy harvesting, or other performance benefits).
