Jacking screw for adjusting a window frame
Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of a jacking screw for adjusting a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, adjusting the jacking screw may cause a first portion of the window frame to be lifted or lowered with respect to a second portion of the window frame. In doing so, a desired alignment of a window installed in the window frame may be achieved. This process may eliminate the use of shimming the underlying surface, thereby making it easier to install the window frame on surfaces that are not perfectly level.
Frame assembly for windows and sliding doors
A frame assembly, for use in window and door applications configured to retain a panel, comprising a frame with a cover assembly and a support assembly having a track assembly, and a sill assembly and a header assembly both interconnected to a securing surface. The cover assembly is interconnected to the support assembly. The sill assembly comprises a roller member disposed in supporting relation to the track assembly, and the header assembly is disposed in supporting relation to the support assembly so that the frame is movable relative to both the header assembly and the sill assembly. At least a portion of the frame comprises a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width. The predetermined thickness is substantially less than the predetermined width so that both cooperatively and concurrently enhance viewing through the panel and the frame's stability.
FORMWORK WALL PANEL AND FORMWORK ASSEMBLY
In a one aspect there is disclosed a formwork wall panel (10) having an operative inner surface (12) to face towards an inner space to be filed with building material and an opposing operative outer surface (14) having a surface finishing component (16) secured thereto. The operative inner surface (12) of the formwork wall panel (10) includes a brace coupling formation (18) operatively adapted to engage a wall panel coupling formation (20) of a brace (22) operatively extending between the formwork wall panel (10) and an opposing second formwork wall panel.
Article to suppress drywall cracking at interior corners
An article to suppress cracking of drywall at interior corners features a thin metal brace that includes a piece of sheet metal between 3 and 30 gauge thickness. If the device as-produced or as-received starts out as a flat sheet of metal, the base or flange of the device is then bent at about a 90 degree angle with respect to the rest of the device—the tongue. When the base or flange is then placed flat along the side of a stud or framing, the tongue of the device will then lie flat or flush along the front side of the stud, but at an angle, for example, 45 degrees, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the stud. In a door or window frame, another stud will intersect the first stud at a right angle. Where the tongue crosses this second stud, the tongue may be fastened to this second stud. In another embodiment, the tongue may be bent or folded over and fastened to the side of the stud. This device can be fastened with screws, nails, or staples, as well as a pressed gang plate system. Thus, the instant device serves to tie the framing members together.
Double Door Gate Apparatus
A double door gate apparatus having a frame, a main gate and a secondary gate, where the apparatus includes the unique features of a) a latch apparatus between uppermost framework members of the main gate and secondary gate, b) the latch apparatus being weighted to return to a normally closed position, c) each of the main gate and secondary gates having an inverted U-shaped piece engaging the bottommost horizontal member such that each of the main and secondary gates need to be lifted prior to being opened and prior to being closed, and d) a pair of hand wheels on a common shaft that work together to space the double door gate apparatus a desired distance from a vertical surface such as a wall.

Framing Bracket And Method Of Cladding Building Walls
A system, device and method of framing an opening, such as a window, in a clad façade 12 structure to align the window units 22 to be positioned adjustably so that the exterior sight lines align the windows without custom fabrication of the clad façade. This allows irregular variations in the original building structure to be eliminated by a perfectly aligned façade. A frame 20 has wide flanges 40 to allow the defined inner box frame area 34 to be positioned and then the frame can be shimmed to that position. Sections of frame 20 are joined by an angled member 54 with flat portion which are received in slots 56 in frame sections at their edges.

Interface gasket for building envelope
A gasket assembly for attaching a window to a panel opening includes an inner frame, an outer frame, and an elastic material connecting the inner frame to the outer frame. The elastic material extends contiguously and circumferentially to couple the outer frame to the inner frame. The outer frame and inner frame can include gap flanges and the elastic material can include opposing lateral side portions. The gap flanges are embedded in the lateral side portions of the elastic material. The outer frame includes connecting structure for coupling of the outer frame to the panel opening. The inner frame includes a connecting structure for coupling of the gasket assembly to the window. The gasket assembly is configured to support the window in the panel opening and form a seal between the panel opening and the window. A method of making a gasket assembly is also disclosed.
Visual security and environmental self adjusting window
A smart window including a motorized shade is provided, particularly where the smart window includes a frame portion having a first subframe and a second subframe for mounting the smart window and routing the motor wirings. In a described embodiment, the smart window comprises: a frame portion including a wiring chase positioned internal to the frame portion and a glass portion. The glass portion may comprise a motorized shade, the motorized shade including a motor, a motor wiring, and a shade roll; a first pane of glass attached to the frame portion on an exterior side of the smart window; and a second pane of glass attached to the frame portion on an interior side of the smart window; wherein the frame portion surrounds the glass portion, wherein the motorized shade is attached to the frame portion between the first pane of glass and the second pane of glass by a hanging system, and wherein the motor wiring is positioned internal to the frame portion and the wiring chase.
