Connecting device and window or door comprising a connecting device

A connecting device, in particular for installing at least one opening stay on a window leaf has a rail, which can be guided as far as possible in the direction of the first longitudinal axis thereof into a groove of the connecting device. The groove engages at least in sections behind the rail. The blocking of the longitudinal displaceability of the rail in the groove is guaranteed at least counter to the first longitudinal direction by a projection connected to the rail, which projection engages in a recess in the region of the groove. The projection is held in the installed position of the connecting device by a spring element in the recess. A spring element is arranged on the rail preferably in a limited movable manner. Alternatively or in addition, the connecting device can comprise a cap which holds the projection in the installed position of the connecting device indirectly and/or directly at least partially in the recess.

A shutter assembly includes a shutter panel with a first and a second stile, each stile having a front stile-face and a rear stile-face. The shutter panel also includes a first and a second rail, the rails extending between the stiles, each rail comprising a front rail-face and a rear rail-face. In addition, the shutter assembly includes a stile bisection plane passes midway between the front and rear stile-faces, and a rail bisection plane passes midway between the front and rear rail-faces. The rail bisection plane is offset from the stile bisection plane.

Window jamb extender for new or replacement window

A window jamb extender includes a frame including: (i) a first leg including opposite inner and outer ends; and, (ii) a second leg connected to the outer end of the first leg and arranged transversely relative to the first leg. The first leg includes an outer face adapted to be abutted with an associated wall stud that partially defines a periphery of an opening in an associated wall structure. The first leg includes an inner face that is opposite the outer face and that is adapted to lie adjacent an outer peripheral wall of an associated window frame. The second leg includes an inner face adapted to lie adjacent an exterior face of the associated window frame. The window jamb extender further includes a J-channel portion including: (i) a primary flange that projects outwardly from the outer face of said first leg; and, (ii) a secondary flange that projects outwardly from the outer face of said first leg, wherein the secondary flange is spaced-apart from the primary flange.

MULLION FOR USE WITH NARROW STILE DOORS

A mullion is adapted for use in a narrow stile door system. The mullion is a three-section mullion with top and bottom hollow mullion tubes and an I-shaped centerpiece. The top and bottom hollow mullion tubes have a first outside width and first outside depth and a second inside width and second inside depth, the second inside width and depth defined by the inside of the hollow tube walls. The I-shaped centerpiece is connected to and fixed in between the top and bottom mullion tubes.
