WINDOW JAMB EXTENDER FOR NEW OR REPLACEMENT WINDOW

A window jamb extender includes a frame including: (i) a first leg including opposite inner and outer ends; and, (ii) a second leg connected to the outer end of the first leg and arranged transversely relative to the first leg. The first leg includes an outer face adapted to be abutted with an associated wall stud that partially defines a periphery of an opening in an associated wall structure. The first leg includes an inner face that is opposite the outer face and that is adapted to lie adjacent an outer peripheral wall of an associated window frame. The second leg includes an inner face adapted to lie adjacent an exterior face of the associated window frame. The window jamb extender further includes a J-channel portion including: (i) a primary flange that projects outwardly from the outer face of said first leg; and, (ii) a secondary flange that projects outwardly from the outer face of said first leg, wherein the secondary flange is spaced-apart from the primary flange.

Heat-assisted recording head having sub wavelength mirror formed of first and second materials

A recording head has a near-field transducer proximate a media-facing surface of the recording head. The near-field transducer extends a first distance away from the media-facing surface. A waveguide overlaps and delivers light to the near-field transducer. Two subwavelength focusing mirrors are at an end of the waveguide proximate the media-facing surface. The subwavelength mirrors are on opposite crosstrack sides of the near-field transducer and separated from each other by a crosstrack gap. The subwavelength focusing mirrors each include a first material at the media-facing surface and a liner that covers an edge of the mirror.

Mullion seal

An acoustic seal for a sound flanking path between an interior architectural separation and a mullion. A seal body is configured as an elongated rail having a base rail portion and a side rail portion. The base rail portion has sides defining a first seal surface for engaging a first interior side of the mullion, and a second seal surface for engaging an end wall of the architectural separation. The side rail portion has sides defining a third seal surface substantially non-parallel with respect to the first seal surface for engaging a second interior side of the mullion, and a fourth seal surface in substantially coplanar relationship with the second seal surface for engaging the end wall of the architectural separation. The first and third seal surfaces may form an inside seal corner for enveloping an outside corner of the mullion defined by the mullion's first and second interior sides.

Structural windowsill assembly

A windowsill assembly includes a beam member and an insert bracket. The beam member includes a first leg and a second leg, the first leg meeting the second leg at a joining region at proximal ends of the first leg and the second leg. The insert bracket includes a first portion and a second portion that are substantially perpendicular to each other to substantially match an angle between the first leg and the second leg of the beam member. The insert bracket couples the beam member to a support member.

A expandable fenestration flashing product for an opening in an exterior surface of a structure includes a generally planar unitary flashing shaped to conform to the exterior surface, the flashing configured to extend outwardly from an entire perimeter of fenestration, and an inner portion configured to flexibly seal to the inner surface of the fenestrations. The expandable fenestration flashing product is formed as a unitary structure of a waterproof, expandable material. A method of integrating an expandable fenestration flashing product into an opening of an exterior surface of a structure includes securing the expandable fenestration flashing product described above onto the exterior of a structure about the fenestration, and pressing and securing the fenestration product at least partially into the fenestration.
