Corner fitting with adjustable restraining area
A corner fitting for a door element, in particular for a glass door element, includes first and second fitting elements, which each include, at least sectionwise, a locating portion, which includes an intermediate layer able to contact the door element. The fitting elements delimit the restraining area, wherein a holding element is in operative connection with a connecting element, which serves for supporting the door element on a center of rotation and/or an axis. At least one exchangeable rigid distancing element is disposed between the fitting elements outside the locating portions. The distancing element forms a counter-bearing to the locating portions and the door element which can be restrained in the restraining area.

Display case door assembly with vacuum panel and lighting features
A display case door assembly for a temperature-controlled storage device includes a vacuum panel, a hinge rail, and a lighting element. The vacuum panel includes a first vacuum pane, a second vacuum pane, and an evacuated gap between the first and second vacuum panes. The evacuated gap provides thermal insulation for the vacuum panel. The hinge rail is coupled to an edge of the vacuum panel and configured to rotate along with the vacuum panel between an open position and a closed position. The lighting element is coupled to at least one of the edge rail and the vacuum panel and configured to emit light toward an interior of the temperature-controlled storage device when the hinge rail and vacuum panel are in at least the closed position.
Door with built-in exit signal
A door with an EXIT signal which operates automatically includes a door panel and a light source. The door panel includes a first plate. The first plate includes a front surface. The front surface defines a plurality of pits. The pits form a predetermined pattern, in the shape of a word. The light source is fixed above the first plate. The light source emits light to toward the pits to illuminate the predetermined pattern in the shape of a word when the door is in a closed state.

FIXED GLAZING
The invention relates to fixed glazing for a building, comprising at least one glass pane, for example triple glazing. According to the invention, the glass pane is directly inserted in the adjacent building structure without interposing a frame that consists of a rigid material, and/or it is inserted in the laterally adjacent insulation of the building structure.
DISPLAY CASE DOOR ASSEMBLY WITH VACUUM PANEL
A display case door assembly for a temperature-controlled storage device includes a frame defining an opening into the temperature-controlled storage device and a transparent unit coupled to the frame. The transparent unit includes a first vacuum pane, a second vacuum pane, and an evacuated gap between the first and second vacuum panes. The evacuated gap has a predetermined thickness within which a vacuum is drawn, thereby providing a thermal insulation effect for the transparent unit. The transparent unit further includes a plurality of spacers disposed within the evacuated gap and configured to maintain the predetermined thickness of the evacuated gap when the vacuum is drawn therein.
Glass element for a cabinet having a refrigerated chamber
The invention relates to a glass element (200) including at least one insulating glass panel including at least one first (10) and one second (11) glass sheet combined with one another via a spacer (12) which keeps same spaced apart from one another, said spacer extending along the side, upper and lower edges of said two glass sheets and between said at least two glass sheets, at least one inner space (15) including a layer of an insulating gas and closed by a first (13) and a second (14) peripheral seal arranged around said inner space, and at least one frame (201) which supports said at least one insulating glass panel, said frame including (i) a stationary bracket (21) and (ii) a movable bracket (22) which is hinged on the stationary bracket and which allows the opening and/or the closing of the glass element. Such a glass element includes a spacer (12), the first (13) and the second (14) peripheral seal extending along at least one of the side edges of said at least two glass sheets are formed from a transparent resin, and said movable bracket is devoid of at least one side crosspiece.
Shatter-resistant, optically-transparent panels and methods of use of the panels for on-site retrofitting and reinforcing of passageways
The disclosure includes multi-layered panels (10, 60, 204) including exterior layers of glass (12, 44) and interior layers of urethane (20, 36) and at least one layer of polycarbonate (16) between the urethane layers (20, 36) that result in enhanced shatter resistance within panels (10, 60, 204) that weigh between about 4.1 and 4.6 pounds per square foot. The panels (10, 60, 204) include an insertion tab (23, 61, 23) of the polycarbonate layer (16) that enhances performance of the panel (10). Reinforced passageways (70, 200, 300) such as doors and windows of schools, hospitals and other public and private buildings, are disclosed using the multi-layered panel (10, 60, 204) with the insertion tab (23, 61, 23).
