FRAMELESS SUPPLEMENTAL WINDOW FOR FENESTRATION
20220034150 · 2022-02-03 ·

A novel and useful frame less supplemental window for fenestration suitable for use with existing windows. The supplemental window, in one embodiment, comprises plastic sheet material with bullnose edging around it. Corner braces add rigidity and strength to corners in several embodiments. An attachment mechanism secured either to the sheet material or the bullnose edge functions to fasten and/or seal the supplemental window to an existing window. The bullnose edging functions to substantially enclose (i.e. trap) a volume of air between the window pane and the plastic sheet material. The supplemental window is configured such that the layer of trapped air is of an optimum thickness within a preferred range of 0.15 to 0.75 inches to maximize thermal insulation properties of the supplemental window.

Cladding system for glazed doors and windows
09725946 · 2017-08-08 · ·

A low-profile cladding system that can be readily applied to doors, windows, fixed light openings, or curtain walls where thermal performance is important. The cladding system utilizes a cladding member in combination with an L-shaped bracket to attach and secure the cladding member to a frame or sash. The cladding member is held to the frame or sash by tension or pressure between opposite ends of the cladding member. This tension is created by the L-shaped bracket in combination with the cladding ends as the L-shaped bracket engages one cladding member end and is pivoted into an indentation, or recess, in the frame or sash. The other cladding member end engages a groove along the side of the frame or sash opposite to the indentation.

Three-dimensional printing process for obtaining a manufactured article with material effect

The three-dimensional printing process for obtaining a manufactured article with material effect comprises: a supply step of an image (1) in digital format reproducing a wooden surface portion provided with a plurality of grains (2), comprising a plurality of pixels; an identification step of a color range datum of each of pixels by means of a software; a transformation step of the color range datum into a depth spatial datum to produce a three-dimensional digital model of a manufactured article with material effect (3) provided with an outer surface (4) reproducing the grains (2) by means of a plurality of grooves (5) with variable depth; a three-dimensional printing step of the model to obtain the manufactured article with material effect (3) by means of a molding device (10, 13); and a painting step of the outer surface (4) by means of a paint (9), the paint (9) accumulating in the grooves (5) and reproducing the color range of the grains (2).

COMPOSITE ALUMINUM ALLOY PROFILE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
20220228423 · 2022-07-21 ·

Disclosed are a composite aluminum alloy profile and a preparation method therefor. The composite aluminum alloy profile includes an outer decorative profile, a polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and an inner frame profile. The inner frame profile is an integral component of alkali-free glass fibers and polyurethane resin formed by one-time extrusion, and a cross section thereof is “custom-character”-shaped; and the outer decorative profile is connected to the inner frame profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive. The preparation method includes: preparing glass fibers and polyurethane materials of components A and B into a glass fiber resin reinforced profile by a compound strip-threading and injection machine, adhering the inner frame profile to the outer decorative profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and rolling the same. The profile has the features of heat and sound insulation and is easy to produce.
