RETENTION ASSEMBLY FOR SECURING TOGETHER COUPLED HANDLE ASSEMBLIES OF CO-MOUNTED DOORS
A retention assembly secures together field-coupled handle assemblies of co-mounted doors and may include a first retention component mounted to or defined by a first magnet housing of a first door handle assembly operatively mounted to one of the co-mounted doors, and a second retention component mounted to or defined by a second magnet housing of a second door handle assembly operatively mounted to the other of the co-mounted doors, the first and second magnet housings arranged such that magnets carried by each align with and magnetically couple to one another and such that the first retention component aligns with the second retention component and mechanically couple to one another as the first and second door handle assemblies are brought into contact with each other.
Window Having Hinged Corner Arrangement
A structural assembly for a frame includes a first rail, a second rail, a third rail, a fourth rail, a first pivotable bracket member coupling the first and second rails, and a second pivotable bracket member coupling the third and fourth rails. The first rail includes a first end, a second end, and a first groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The second rail includes a first end, a second end, and a second groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The third rail includes a first end, a second end, and a third groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The fourth rail includes a first end, a second end, and a fourth groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof.
Storm Door
An improved storm door for a building. The improved storm door includes a main portion and a plurality of edge portions that includes a top edge, a latch edge, and a hinge edge. The main portion is thicker than the edges of the plurality of edge portions, and is sized to secure an insulated glass panel therein. The edge portion is thinner than the main portion, and can secure an insulated gasket thereon. The insulated glass panel and insulated gasket improve insulation of the improved storm door, and seal an interior of the building from an exterior of the building.
LOW PROFILE FENESTRATION SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR SAME
A fenestration assembly includes a low-profile screen assembly including a fenestration frame and a sash movably coupled with the fenestration frame. The sash includes a daylight opening having a daylight opening profile. The low-profile screen assembly is coupled with one or more of the fenestration frame or the sash. The low-profile screen assembly includes a screen panel having a screen frame coupled along one or more of the sash or the fenestration frame, and the screen frame includes a screen frame inner perimeter. A screen membrane spans the screen frame and is coupled with the screen frame. The screen frame inner perimeter is outside of the daylight opening profile.
LOW PROFILE PANEL HANDLE ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR SAME
A fenestration assembly includes a fenestration frame and a sash movably coupled with the fenestration frame. The sash includes a daylight opening having a daylight opening profile. A low profile handle assembly is coupled with the fenestration frame and the sash. The low profile handle assembly includes a sash handle coupled with the sash and a handle socket in the fenestration frame. The handle socket is configured for reception of the sash handle. The low profile handle assembly has a composite handle profile including the sash handle received in the handle socket. The composite handle profile is outside of the daylight opening profile, and the daylight opening is unobstructed at least from the low profile handle assembly.
Lighted door with groove and flanged lighting device to be inserted therein
A lighted door system includes a door having a frame defining a hinge side, an opposite distal side, a top, and a bottom. The frame has a front face, a back face, and inside face, an outside face, and a groove formed in at least one of the front face, the back face, the inside face, and the outside face. At least one lighting device is coupled to the door frame. The at least one lighting device includes a housing and a flange extending from the housing. The flange is received into the groove in the door frame to couple the at least one lighting device to the door frame.
Glazing system for high wind area
A glazing system that facilitates protecting windows from damage caused by high winds. The glazing system, for use with windows in doors, transoms, and in windows adjacent to doorways is an extruded polymeric frame that surrounds and supports and seals the window in place. The frame includes a stacked screw boss accessible from the exterior after removing a lineal cap. The screw boss receives screws use to hold a panel in place over the window during high winds to protect the window and which panel may be easily and quickly removed when the high winds pass. The interior side of the frame also has a screw path usable for attaching brackets for blinds to the back of the frame.
TWO-PIECE DOOR AND INSTALLATION SYSTEM
A two-piece door kit comprises frame members comprising two or more components that can be connected with one or more connectors, a bottom panel that can be movably attached to the frame members, a top panel that can be movably attached to the frame members. Prior to assembly, the two-piece door kit may be packaged compactly in a carton in which the total of the carton length plus twice the carton width plus twice the carton thickness is less than or equal to 165 inches.
Garage door (drop down) breeze screen
The Breeze screen invention concept is designed to serve as a simulated natural breeze gate to keep garages cool and clean when they are opened. The mesh breeze gate feature serves to keep garbage and debris out of the inside garage space, while allowing the natural outdoor air ventilation in to keep the garage cool. It attaches to the existing garage door and can be dropped down and locked in place for security with its use. It functions by the design of a fine mesh panel or screen network, made of either metal, aluminum, plastic or other fabric of manufacturer's choice to allow airflow through the fine air holes that make up the breeze gate or breeze screen concept. Thus allowing air through to keep the garage cooler, but keeping larger unsightly particles out of the garage, such as leaves, trash and debris.
LOCK HARDWARE BOX
A security lock hardware box is provided for installation in a door sash. The lock hardware box is installed in a door sash for receiving locking hardware. It has a body part having first chamber for receiving a door latching mechanism, and a second chamber for receiving a door locking mechanism. Front and rear cover plates securable over the front and rear face of the body part with respective openings and holes to receive the locking and latching mechanisms. The body part has protrusions for fitting within the door sash, the length of which can be greater to provide greater strength and security regardless of the size of the lock hardware box or the size of the door sash that can accommodate the lockbox.
