An attic hatch system for mounting within an attic access conduit defined by a ceiling, has an attic hatch structured to mount within the attic access conduit, the attic hatch comprising an insulative hatch body; one or more hanger parts structured to support the attic hatch within the attic access conduit in use, with each of the one or more hanger parts comprising: a top flange member extended laterally outward from the insulative hatch body to extend over and secure on a top shoulder of a structural member of the ceiling in use; a skirt structured to depend from the top flange member through the attic access conduit in use; and a base flange member extended laterally inward from the skirt to define a seat that supports a base surface of the attic hatch.

An attic hatch system for mounting within an attic access conduit defined by a ceiling, has an attic hatch structured to mount within the attic access conduit, the attic hatch comprising an insulative hatch body; one or more hanger parts structured to support the attic hatch within the attic access conduit in use, with each of the one or more hanger parts comprising: a top flange member extended laterally outward from the insulative hatch body to extend over and secure on a top shoulder of a structural member of the ceiling in use; a skirt structured to depend from the top flange member through the attic access conduit in use; and a base flange member extended laterally inward from the skirt to define a seat that supports a base surface of the attic hatch.
Safety Roof Hatch System
A system is provided for safe access to a roof through an opening in a roof of a structure having a fixed ladder leading upward to the opening. The system includes a mechanism to drive a set of pushrods to raise a hatch covering the opening. The system may include a section of ladder secured to the underside of the hatch. The system may have an extendable ladder driven by the drive mechanism to slide along the fixed ladder and extend through the opening in the roof when the hatch is raised. The system may include a safety pole driven by the drive mechanism to extend through the opening in the roof when the hatch is raised. The system allows someone who needs to access the roof for inspection or maintenance to safely open the hatch, climb up through the opening in the roof, and safely step onto the roof.

Grate apparatus and method for covering and opening a channel in a vehicle wash
A grate apparatus for covering a pit defined in a floor of a vehicle wash facility includes a plurality of rigid rung pieces having a first end, a second end, an upper surface and a lower surface. The rigid rung pieces are secured in generally parallel and spaced apart fashion by a plurality of flexible strap members. The flexible strap members are secured to each of the rung pieces by a plurality of fasteners. The grate apparatus is moveable between an unwound position where the first end of each of the plurality of rigid rung pieces rests on one of a pair of spaced apart rails located adjacent the pit and the second end of each of the plurality of rung pieces rests on the other of the pair of spaced apart rails and a wound position wherein the plurality of rung pieces and the plurality of flexible straps are oriented in generally coiled position around a centerline.
Grate apparatus and method for covering and opening a channel in a vehicle wash
A grate apparatus for covering a pit defined in a floor of a vehicle wash facility includes a plurality of rigid rung pieces having a first end, a second end, an upper surface and a lower surface. SHORT PENETRATION FLASHING, FLASHING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING THEM
The present disclosure relates generally to a roofing system including flashing, for example, suitable for protecting a roof from water leakage. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a roofing system including first, second, and third courses of shingles, where the second course overlaps the first and the third course overlaps the second. A flashing plate is disposed over the first course of shingles and partially under the second course of shingles. The flashing plate and the third course of shingles are spaced apart by a gap in a direction of the slope of the roof between a top edge of the flashing plate and a lower edge of the third course of shingles.
Molded plastic access door
A molded access door assembly for an access opening in a covering material of a wall or ceiling is disclosed. The door assembly includes a frame defining a frame opening. The frame is positionable against the covering material with the frame opening in alignment with the access opening. The frame includes a lip extending about a perimeter of the frame opening for bearing against the covering material adjacent the access opening, and a plurality of fastener holes passing through the lip for receiving fasteners to secure the frame against the covering material. The door assembly further includes a molded door hingedly connected to the frame. The door is movable between an open position providing access to the frame opening and the fastener holes, and a closed position in which the door covers the frame opening and an entirety of the fastener holes.
Molded plastic access door
A molded access door assembly for an access opening in a covering material of a wall or ceiling is disclosed. The door assembly includes a frame defining a frame opening. The frame is positionable against the covering material with the frame opening in alignment with the access opening. The frame includes a lip extending about a perimeter of the frame opening for bearing against the covering material adjacent the access opening, and a plurality of fastener holes passing through the lip for receiving fasteners to secure the frame against the covering material. The door assembly further includes a molded door hingedly connected to the frame. The door is movable between an open position providing access to the frame opening and the fastener holes, and a closed position in which the door covers the frame opening and an entirety of the fastener holes.
Insulated attic hatch
An attic access assembly includes an outer frame and a panel subassembly. The outer frame attaches to a ceiling and frames an attic opening. The panel subassembly includes a central panel that fits within the outer frame, and a flexible barrier that defines an insulation pocket extending upwardly from the central panel. The central panel may include an insulating foam material. The insulation pocket is used to contain an insulating material. Weatherstripping seals the panel subassembly to the outer frame. The panel subassembly may include a panel frame that fits within the outer frame, frames the central panel, and defines a groove to retain a weatherstripping seal.
