An apparatus for an entry way includes: a sheet of material having a top, a bottom, a left side, and a right side, and a sleeve at the top of the sheet of material. The sheet of material has an opening extending to the bottom of the sheet of material between the left side and the right side of the sheet of material from a position below the sleeve. The opening has a left seam and a right seam, wherein a first magnet is positioned at the left seam of the opening and a second magnet is positioned at the right seam of the opening, wherein the first and second magnets are magnetically coupled. A variable-length cross member has a first end and a second end. The cross member is positioned in the sleeve and includes a first securing mechanism at the first end and a second securing mechanism at the second end that secure the cross member respectively to body portions of a first vertical pole and a second vertical pole.

An apparatus for an entry way includes: a sheet of material having a top, a bottom, a left side, and a right side, and a sleeve at the top of the sheet of material. The sheet of material has an opening extending to the bottom of the sheet of material between the left side and the right side of the sheet of material from a position below the sleeve. Provided is a retractable protective door bar capable of adapting to a long curtain. The retractable protective door bar includes an upper fixation seat, a lower fixation seat, a rolling curtain shaft and a rolling curtain subassembly. A torsional spring is mounted inside the rolling curtain shaft, a rotating subassembly and a stopping subassembly are arranged inside the lower fixation seat, the rotating subassembly has a ratchet wheel, and the stopping subassembly has a locking tooth. The rotating subassembly may rotate toward one direction only through clamping of the locking tooth and the ratchet wheel. An upper end of the torsional spring is connected and fixed to the rolling curtain shaft, and a lower end is connected and fixed to the rotating subassembly. in this way the torsion of the torsional spring may be adjusted by twisting the rotating part outside the lower fixation seat.

A building having a security and safety function of the present invention may include: a house body that is configured to include an inner panel that defines an interior space, an outer panel that surrounds the inner panel to be spaced a predetermined distance from the outer surface of the inner panel, a heat insulating material that is installed between the inner panel and the outer panel, and an air flow passage that is formed between the inner panel and the outer panel to facilitate a fluid flow therebetween and to block the heat transfer with respect to the outside; an indoor entrance door configured to be installed on one side of the house body for entering the interior space; and an outdoor entrance door configured to be installed on the house body in front of the indoor entrance door.

An access door assembly is for a floor structure. The access door assembly includes a door frame coupled to the floor structure and defining an opening aligned with a staircase, and an access door within the opening and having first and second longitudinal sides. A lid is selectively slidable upon the rail relative to the fixed lid to an opened position. A cam is selectively operable to raise the slidable lid to be flush with the fixed lid in a closed position.

An apparatus and associated method for a sliding entry door assembly. The sliding door assembly has a frame, and a fixed lid attached to the frame. A rail is attached to the frame. A lid is selectively slidable upon the rail relative to the fixed lid to an opened position. A cam is selectively operable to raise the slidable lid to be flush with the fixed lid in a closed position.

A trash collection assembly may include a dumpster housing which may house therein a dumpster to provide a more desirable aesthetic appeal. A garbage truck may be configured to lift the dumpster out of the dumpster housing without the need for the garbage truck driver to get out of the truck. A cover of the dumpster may open and close automatically respectively during the removal of the dumpster from the housing and return of the dumpster to the housing.

A trash collection assembly may include a dumpster housing which may house therein a dumpster to provide a more desirable aesthetic appeal.
