A sliding window to close off an open surface in a wall separating the inside from the outside. The window includes an opening panel, a frame and a passive acoustic silencer. The silencer includes two parallel and acoustically absorbent slides extending in a median plane normal to the open surface. One slide is attached to the opening panel and the other slide is attached to the frame. The movement of the opening panel relative to the frame creating, between the slides, a slit having a thickness equal to the window opening. Also, a system of windows to acoustically damp between the inside and outside of an open space in a wall.

A plurality of non-metal profiles are respectively fixed on an outer surface of the rectangular high-strength metal pipe, and an installation groove for installing glass is formed between the rectangular high strength metal pipe and the non-metal profile. An external profile is a metal alloy material, a wooden material, a plastic material, or a glass material fixed on an outer surface of the non-metal profile. The performances of external windows of buildings, such as heat insulation, heat preservation, energy saving, sound insulation, and wind pressure resistance, is improved.

The invention provides a glass door apparatus with a right and a left glass door leaf (10, 100) and functional end caps (40a, 40b, 240a, 240b), which respectively have a protrusion (52a, 52b, 252a, 252b), which, with respect to a lateral front face of the functional end cap protrudes laterally outwards in a manner at least substantially parallel to a pane face of a glass pane of one glass door leaf as well as away from said glass pane, and/or a cavity (54a, 54b, 254a, 254b) which, with respect to said lateral front face, protrudes laterally inwards in a manner is at least substantially parallel to said pane face and towards said glass pane and which, in the opposite direction, opens laterally outwardly, and wherein, in the closed state of glass door apparatus, the protrusion and/or the cavity is/are overlapped with a complementary counterpiece of the other glass door leaf.

The door slab includes an outer skin; an arched constrainment sheet inside the outer skin; a damping fill material inside the outer skin; and an acoustic insert inside the outer skin. The bottom seal is mounted to a bottom surface of the door slab such that the bottom seal is permitted to move relative to the door slab.

The swing fastening mechanism and the locking structure are each provided with a snakelike groove inside which a shaft operative to slide along a groove orientation is arranged. A handle disposed on the door/window frame is operative to drive the shaft to slide in the snakelike groove, thereby forcing the swing fastening mechanism or/and the locking structure to swing.

The system includes 2 fully decoupled acoustic reveal formed between 2 acoustic windows, thereby providing a higher level of sound proofing than is achievable with existing art. A decoupled acoustic reveal means that there is no path of contact between the two acoustic windows that is unbroken by soundproofing material. Further, the acoustic windows may be positioned fully or partially outside the thickness of the door to increase the air gap. Prior art systems may attempt to partially decouple the acoustic reveal. A windowed standard 1.75 inch acoustic door according to the present invention provides an STC rating of 56-57, which is far superior to the 35-47 STC rating comparable prior art. The STC rating of the present invention on a 5 inch thick door is estimated at 64 compared to 54 using conventional technology.
