A gate assembly that comprises a support assembly and a gate. The support assembly comprises a first support, a second support, and a base positioned between the first support and the second support. The base comprises a first flange adjacent a first end of the base and a second flange adjacent a second end of the base. The first flange is positioned within the first support and the second flange is positioned within the second support. The gate comprises an upper rail, a lower rail, and a plurality of posts disposed orthogonally with respect to the upper rail and the lower rail. The plurality of posts are removably engaged with the upper rail and the lower rail. The gate is rotatably attached to the support assembly. The first flange is removably attached to the first support and the second flange is removably attached to the second support.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus and system involving the use of a panel for protecting fenestrations in buildings such as windows and doors, from damage caused by storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, riots, and the like. Embodiments of the present invention include a substrate panel attached to a security film providing increased protection against wind-driven missiles associated with high winds with decreased weight and mitigating improper installation.

A window locking apparatus includes a proximal cross brace, a distal cross brace, a first track brace, and a second track brace. The first track brace is positioned parallel to the second track brace. The proximal cross brace is perpendicularly positioned in between the first track brace and the second track brace. The distal cross brace is perpendicularly positioned in between the first track brace and the second track brace, wherein the proximal cross brace and the distal cross brace are positioned offset of each other. The proximal cross brace is rotatably connected to the first track brace and removably mounted to the second track brace. The distal cross brace is rotatably connected to the first track brace and removably mounted to the second track brace. The removable connections of the second track brace allows the window locking apparatus to be installed or removed from a window.

Each of the latches must be opened to open the gate. The gate returns without the aid of a spring to a position close to the closed position or to the closed position by the structure of a pivot or hinge connection between the gate and the frame of the gate. Gate tubes are rectangular in section for their entire length. Wood panels are included in the gate and excluded from other portions of the gate apparatus to make the gate stand out to the user seeking to open the gate.

A serviceable actuation arrangement for an active grille shutter system. The serviceable actuation arrangement includes a linkage connected to all of the vanes of the active grille shutter system. The linkage is connected to an actuator and moves vertically to rotate the vanes between an open position and a closed position. Between the actuator and the linkage are drive arms that are removably connected to the actuator. There is a connector clip that connects the drive arms and the linkage together in a removable manner. The connector clip retains the components together during operation, but provides a quick release so that the actuator can be removed and changed without having to disassemble the vanes from the linkage.

A serviceable actuation arrangement for an active grille shutter system. The serviceable actuation arrangement includes a linkage connected to all of the vanes of the active grille shutter system. The linkage is connected to an actuator and moves vertically to rotate the vanes between an open position and a closed position. Between the actuator and the linkage are drive arms that are removably connected to the actuator. There is a connector clip that connects the drive arms and the linkage together in a removable manner. The connector clip retains the components together during operation, but provides a quick release so that the actuator can be removed and changed without having to disassemble the vanes from the linkage.

A door and window floodproofing assembly for preventing flood waters from entering a building includes an inflatable sealer apparatus and a battery cover apparatus. The inflatable sealer apparatus comprises a sealer body having a sealer front side, a sealer back side, and a sealer perimeter defining a sealer inside. The sealer inside is inflatable and dimensioned to fit within a door jamb or a window frame. A sealer flap is flexibly coupled to the sealer perimeter adjacent the sealer back side. The battery cover apparatus comprises a panel having a panel front side, a panel back side, and a panel perimeter. A plurality of latches is coupled to the panel front side adjacent the panel perimeter. A plurality of receivers is selectively engageable with the plurality of latches. Each receiver is coupled to the door jamb or the window frame.

An intruder resistant screen providing improved strength. The improved intruder resistant screen comprises a frame, a woven wire intruder resistant mesh covering an opening enclosed by the frame, a plurality of clamp elements engaging with frame members to hold the mesh by a leveraged clamping action and at least one fastener holding each clamping member to the frame member. Each fastener has a drilling portion, a shank portion, a head and a thread. The frame comprises multiple frame members joined by corner stakes and there are two or more clamp elements engaging each frame member.

An anti-flood device intended to seal an opening, in particular of a building, including at least one parallelepiped panel forming a chamber which can be inflated by injecting a gas, comprising two rectangular main walls joined by a lower edge, an upper edge and two lateral edges. The inner faces of the main walls of the panel are connected to each other by connecting elements formed of threads of equal length, the ends of which are respectively secured to the main walls and which ensure that they are kept parallel when the panel is inflated. The lateral and lower edges of the panel are provided, at least partially, with an elastic deformable seal which is intended to be respectively compressed against the lateral walls of the opening and the base thereof, when the panel is inflated and installed in this opening.
