BOAT OR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE LADDER APPARATUS

A boat or recreational vehicle ladder apparatus is provided. One aspect of the present ladder apparatus includes an elongated extension handle including a slot adjacent a lower end thereof. Another aspect of a boat or recreational vehicle ladder apparatus provides a snap-on step tread which can be mounted to a dual-tubular ladder step structure. Another aspect of a boat or recreational vehicle ladder apparatus employs a laterally expandable ladder step which can be retrofit onto an existing ladder. A further aspect employs clasps or hooks to attach and retain a ladder step to generally vertical ladder rails in a tool-free and fastener-free manner.

Ergonomic ladder

A ladder includes a pair of generally curved side rails arranged in a spaced apart manner, a plurality of fixed rungs disposed between the side rails, a plurality of pairs of rung supports, and a plurality of hinged rungs. Each of the pairs of rung supports is horizontally aligned with each other and disposed on respective inner sides of the side rails. The rung supports are spaced apart from the fixed rungs along lengths of the side rails. Each rung support includes a flanged end portion having an aperture therein. Each hinged rung is associated with a respective pair of rung supports. Each hinged rung has a first end pivotally coupled to the flanged end portion of a first rung support in the respective pair of rung supports such that each hinged rung is pivotal between a secured position between the rung supports and a retracted position.

An ATV rack for a pickup truck includes a pair of triangular braces, each secured to the upper edge of a truck bed sidewall, near the cab rear wall. Mounted on the braces is a storage grate formed of a fixed, horizontal front section, positioned above the cab roof, and a pivotal rear section. A free edge of the rear section can be lowered to load ATVs onto the grate and then raised to a horizontal position to transport the ATVs. The rear section may also be secured in a vertical, upright position to form an observation deck, or can be collapsed onto the front section to allow the cargo bed to be used for storage.

An ATV rack for a pickup truck includes a pair of triangular braces, each secured to the upper edge of a truck bed sidewall, near the cab rear wall. A ladder includes a pair of uprights, directed along a prevailing vertical direction. The uprights are connected to each other by at least one cross member, perpendicular to the uprights, directed along a transverse direction, perpendicular to the vertical direction.
