ADJUSTABLE MATERIAL HOIST

A method of using a material hoist system can include extending an overall length of a track assembly by slidably moving a second track member of the track assembly with respect to a first track member of the track assembly; and slidably moving a carriage of the system with respect to the track assembly.

DRIVE AND CARRIAGE FOR MATERIAL HOIST

A drive for a material hoist system can include a housing configured to be slidably coupled to a track of the system; a motor positioned inside the housing; a gearbox positioned inside the housing and coupled to the motor; and a spool positioned inside the housing between the motor and the gearbox, the spool configured to: selectably wind and unwind a flexible connecting element coupled to the track; and drive movement of the drive along a longitudinal direction of the track.

A climb assist and fall arrest system is disclosed that includes fall arrest components in connection with climb assist components. The connection of the fall arrest components and the climb assist components may include physical connection, electronic connection, communication, or any combination thereof. Communication between the fall arrest components and the climb assist components may include information being passed from one of the fall arrest components and the climb assist components to the other of the fall arrest components and the climb assist components. The climb assist and fall arrest device may be configured to transition from a disengaged configuration to an engaged configuration based on the information passed between the fall arrest components and the climb assist components.

RAMP-EQUIPPED BOX BLIND STAND
20190014773 · 2019-01-17 ·

A ramp-equipped box blind stand for ease of access includes a platform that is configured to position on a surface, such as in a field for hunting. A first ramp is coupled to a top of the platform and extends angularly from the platform to the surface. A carriage is slidably coupled to the first ramp and is selectively positionable along the first ramp. The carriage extends transversely from the first ramp so that it is substantially parallel to the surface. The carriage is configured to position a load, such as a box blind and an occupied wheelchair. A lift is operationally coupled to the carriage and the first ramp. The lift is configured to motivate the carriage along the first ramp to transfer the load between the surface and the top of the platform. A pair of first railings that is coupled the first ramp is configured to prevent falls.

CLIMB ASSIST VELOCITY CONTROL
20190017325 · 2019-01-17 ·

A climb assist system dynamically adjusts a rate and a level of load assist that the system provides to a climber during traverse of a structure. The system includes a load sensor system configured to detect the state of the climber, such as the load applied by the climber to an assist rope, to provide an upward support force on the climber to compensate the climber's weight. Additionally, the system includes a sender configured to transmit data to a receiver of the system. The system includes a controller configured to interpret the received data and thereafter provide control through a controlled motor and drive system to provide load assist to the climber. A safety function of the system is configured to receive data indicative of a rate of descent of the climber, and slow or stop the descent if one or more conditions are met.

WINDOW WELL EGRESS APPARATUS
20190010759 · 2019-01-10 ·

This is a system that allows a small child to escape from a window well using a ladder and a window well cover. The ladder extends from the bottom of the window well cover and has a trigger that when activated slides the ladder and releases a trap door in the window well cover, thus allowing a person to climb the ladder and escape through the cover.
