Ladder leg shoe hinges 90 degrees and slides up
Improvements to the leg extension of an adjustable ladder leveler and, more generally, improvements to ladder legs. A shoe with a claw that folds to be parallel to the ladder leg and then slides upward with respect to the leg thereby becoming locked into position so that it cannot move away from being parallel so long as weight is applied on the ladder. If the shoe is on an extension, as the shoe slides up, it engages a safety bar that prevents release of the extension.
Stabilized Ladder Assembly
A stabilized ladder assembly includes a step ladder that has a set of climbing legs and a set of support legs each is hingedly coupled to a top support. A pair of lateral supports is each pivotally disposed on the step ladder. Each of the lateral supports is positionable in a deployed position to engage a support surface for inhibiting the step ladder from tipping laterally on the support surface. Each of the lateral supports is positionable in a stored position having the lateral supports resting against the step ladder. A toolbox is suspended on the step ladder such that the toolbox is accessible to a user when the user climbs the step ladder. Additionally, the toolbox is oriented to extend along a vertical axis when the step ladder is positioned in a deployed position.
Adjustable ladders, ladder components and related methods
Ladders, ladder components, adjustment mechanisms and related methods are provided herein. In one embodiment, a ladder may include an adjustment mechanism for adjusting, for example, a leveler, a stabilizer, or any two relatively displaceable components of the ladder. The adjustment mechanism may include an actuating mechanism having a first structure and a second structure slidably disposed adjacent the first structure, the second structure having a plurality of engagement surfaces. A body is coupled with the first structure. At least two engagement pins are slidably displaceable relative to the body, wherein the plurality of engagement surfaces and the at least two engagement pins are arranged such that only a single engagement pin of the at least two engagement pins is in abutting engagement with an engagement surface of the plurality of engagement surfaces at one time. At least one biasing member is configured to bias the at least two engagement pins towards engagement with the engagement surfaces.
Ladder Leveler and Method
A ladder upon which a user climbs having a first rail. The ladder having a second rail. The ladder having rungs attached to the first and second rails upon which the user steps. The ladder having a first leveler attached to the first rail. The first leveler having a foot peg and a latch. When the user presses on the foot peg and the latch with the user's foot when the leveler is in an extended state, the first leveler moves into a retracted state. The ladder having a second leveler attached to the second rail. A method for a user to use a ladder. The method has the step of the user pushing with the user's foot against a foot peg and latch of a first leveler to cause the first leveler to move to a retracted state relative to a first rail of the ladder in which the first leveler is. There is the step of the user pushing only against the foot peg but not the latch with the user's foot when the leveler is in the retracted state causing the first leveler to move to an extended state relative to the first rail and be maintained in the extended state. A leveler which positively prevents inadvertent retraction of the leveler from an extended state to a retracted state. A ladder having a module with a first and second ladder leveler.
Ladder Support Attachment
A ladder support for attaching on a leg of a ladder. The ladder support attachment includes a pair of support members that removably secure to opposing legs of a ladder. Each support member includes an upper bar affixed to a lower bar about a hinge. The upper bar includes a first fastener on a second end of the upper bar and the lower bar includes a second fastener on a proximal end of the lower bar. The first and second fasteners removably secure to a leg of the ladder. The pair of support members can transition between a first position and a second position, where the first position is the upper and lower bars resting parallel to the leg of the ladder and the second position is the upper and lower bars forming a triangular shape with the leg where the lower bar rests flush with the ground.
Ladder Support
A ladder support for use with a ladder, wherein the ladder includes a pair of rails each having a base end portion and an opposing free end portion, with the pair of rails having a plurality of rungs disposed therebetween, the ladder support is for use between a roof and a surface. The ladder support includes a telescopically adjustable extension strut having a first end and an opposing second end, further included is a curved bracket connected at the second end of the extension strut that retainably rests against a ladder rung. Also included in the ladder support is a substantially L-shaped bracket connected at the first end of the extension strut, wherein the bracket anchors to the surface to help secure the ladder rail base end portions from unwanted movement on the surface.
Ladder Support
A ladder support for use with a ladder, wherein the ladder includes a pair of rails each having a base end portion and an opposing free end portion, with the pair of rails having a plurality of rungs disposed therebetween, the ladder support is for use between a roof and a surface. Ladder leveling and stabilizing assembly
The assembly includes a first arcuate tube attached to a ladder. A second arcuate tube is slidably disposed in the first arcuate tube. A lock subassembly is disposed on the first arcuate tube for limiting movement of the second arcuate tube relative to the first arcuate tube. A step lever extends along the first arcuate tube and is coupled with the lock subassembly. A first flange and a second flange each extend radially from the first arcuate tube. An actuating member defines a cam surface abutting the second flange. A bar extends through the flanges and attaches to the actuating member. The step lever attaches to the actuating member to move the actuating member and cause the cam surface to slightly deform the first arcuate tube about the second arcuate tube and engage the second arcuate tube. A foot is pivotably disposed at each end of the second arcuate tube.
Ladder support
An apparatus and method of use for a ladder support for use with a ladder, with the ladder support for use between an upper roof and a lower roof with a gutter, wherein the ladder supported is between the lower and upper roofs. The ladder support includes an extension strut that has a channel shaped structure on one end, wherein the channel is operative to receive a ladder rung, with the other end of the extension strut having an angle beam with a primary leg portion and a secondary leg portion, the primary leg portion is attached to the extension strut. Wherein the secondary leg portion is operative to be disposed within the gutter, wherein operationally the ladder support helps to secure the ladder upon the lower roof as the ladder is leaning against the upper roof making the ladder more secure between the lower and upper roofs.
Ladder support
An apparatus and method of use for a ladder support for use with a ladder, with the ladder support for use between an upper roof and a lower roof with a gutter, wherein the ladder supported is between the lower and upper roofs. The ladder support includes an extension strut that has a channel shaped structure on one end, wherein the channel is operative to receive a ladder rung, with the other end of the extension strut having an angle beam with a primary leg portion and a secondary leg portion, the primary leg portion is attached to the extension strut. Wherein the secondary leg portion is operative to be disposed within the gutter, wherein operationally the ladder support helps to secure the ladder upon the lower roof as the ladder is leaning against the upper roof making the ladder more secure between the lower and upper roofs.
