A mechanism that allows a ladder to be moved to either a use position or a retracted position. The ladder can be moved from the retracted position to the use position with a minimal effort, and the ladder moves by itself from the use position to the retracted position. A pit ladder apparatus for an elevator according to the present invention includes a position change means to be provided in a fixing metal frame fixed to the hoistway and allowing a ladder to be moved to either the use position when the ladder is used or the retracted position for retracting the ladder when it is not used so as not to interfere with operation of the elevator.

The method comprising providing a sink positioned above the floor and also includes providing an unobstructed frontal approach zone of at least thirty inches in width in front of the sink. A sink access device is provided having a first upright position positioned outside the unobstructed frontal approach zone. In this position, an individual in a wheelchair has access to the sink. The sink access device may be deployed into a horizontal position into the frontal approach zone providing access to the sink for a diminutive person such as a child. The sink access device includes a bias for biasing the sink access device in the first natural vertical position.

Device to attach climbing hold to fence

A system used to attach a climbing hold to a chain-link fence. In one embodiment, a backing plate (10) narrow enough to slide through the openings of a chain-link fence (12) is placed on the far side of the chain-link fence (12). A climbing hold (14) is placed on the nearside of the chain-link fence (12), and a bolt (16) is used to clamp the assembly together. Other embodiments are described and shown.

A coupling mechanism (30) is arranged on the mobile stair (14) that is configured to couple the transport rack (16) to the mobile stair (14) to pull the mobile stair (14) from the retracted into the extended position and to decouple the transport rack (16) from the mobile stair (14) when the transport rack (16) is moved from the die cutting machine (12) beyond the extended position of the mobile stair (14). An assembly with a die cutting machine has a transport rack (16) separate from the die cutting machine (12) that is configured to be pushed against the die cutting machine (12) and removed therefrom, having a counterpart portion for engaging with the coupling mechanism (30).

A stowable step assembly for climbing a structure is disclosed which includes an articulating step, including a step, the step has at least one cam surface, allowing articulation of the step from i) a deployed position allowing a user to place weight on the step, to ii) a stowed position, at least one cam stop configured to stop the cam motion of the step when in the deployed position; a hanger, including a connector configured to interface with the step, wherein the connector includes at least one counterpart cam surface to the at least one cam surface of the step and wherein the connector includes at least one counterpart cam stop to the at least one cam stop of the step, at least one hook configured to interface with a counterpart attachment arrangement of a structure; and a fastener configured to couple the connector to the step.
