Low profile roller assembly
A low-profile roller assembly reduces an overall mounting height of walking machines enabling use in a wider variety of structures and locations while also reducing complexity and over cost. The low-profile roller assembly may include a roller device with a substantially flat roller cage with one or more slots configured to hold a single layer of rollers. The roller device may move longitudinally relative to a support foot and a load plate may move longitudinally relative to both the support foot and the roller device. The load plate may laterally displace relative to a longitudinal axis of the support foot or may laterally displace relative to longitudinal axes of both the support foot and the roller device.
THERMALLY EXPANDABLE CONNECTOR
A cutting device support for a mining machine includes a ranging arm, a bracket positioned adjacent an end of the ranging arm, and a thermally-expandable coupling member positioned between the bracket and the ranging arm. The coupling member exerts a force on the bracket and the ranging arm to secure the bracket to the ranging arm.
MAST ASSEMBLY FOR DRILLING RIG
A mast assembly for a drilling rig includes a mast formed from a plurality of mast subunits. The mast assembly includes a lower drilling machine, upper drilling machine, and upper mud assembly, each of which is coupled to and movable vertically relative to the mast. The mast subunits are separable when the mast is in a transport configuration such that the LDM is positioned in a first subunit and the UDM is in a second subunit of the mast when the mast is in the transport configuration. The mast assembly may be used during a continuous drilling operation.
Drilling platform for amphibious operations
A drilling platform for amphibious operations includes: a base, wherein drive tracks are arranged on both sides of the base, a propeller is disposed at a rear end of the base, and a driving assembly is disposed inside the base; two support cylinders are respectively disposed at two ends of the base; each of the support cylinders contains a sub-cylinder; a pushing cylinder is arranged on a bottom surface of the partition plate; a buoyancy adjustment assembly is provided at a bottom of the base, so as to provide buoyancy support for the base when the base is transferred from land to water. The present invention is suitable for drilling construction of pile foundations of water and land buildings, bridge piers, and transmission line electric tower pile foundations, as well as drilling of oil wells, wherein the drilling platform construction process at different drilling points is omitted.
SIDE SADDLE TRAVERSABLE DRILLING RIG
A land-based drilling rig includes a drill rig floor and a subfloor, the subfloor supporting the drill rig floor. The land-based drilling rig also includes a plurality of substructure boxes, the substructure boxes supporting the subfloor, each substructure box including a lower substructure box and two upper substructure boxes, wherein there is a gap between the two upper substructure boxes. In addition, the land-based drilling rig further includes a mast, the mast mechanically coupled to the drill rig floor.
ROTARY DRILL MAST LOCKING MECHANISM
A locking mechanism for locking a mast includes a double acting cylinder having a piston coupled with a piston rod adapted to slide inside a cylinder barrel. The cylinder barrel is coupled with a first shaft through a first coupling pin. Mounting brackets coupled to a base plate of the mast guide a sliding motion of the first coupling pin, and the cylinder barrel. A first locking pin connected to the piston rod selectively engages a first side plate based on the sliding motion of the piston rod. A retraction stopper restricts a sliding motion of the first locking pin away from the first side plate, and subsequently causes a movement of the cylinder barrel towards the first end of the cylinder barrel. A second locking pin connected to the shaft selectively engages a second side plate based on the sliding motion of the cylinder barrel.
Multi-direction traversable drilling rig
A land-based drilling rig includes a plurality of columns. Each of the columns is a polyhedron having a square base or is cylindrical. The land-based drilling rig further includes a drill rig floor coupled to the plurality of columns. The land-based drilling rig also includes a mast, the mast mechanically coupled to the drill rig floor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF A DRILLING PROCESS
A method for determining efficiency of a drilling process comprising the steps of: transferring energy via a tool member to the material in which drilling is to be performed by means of a drilling configuration; detecting waves which are propagating in said tool member of said drilling configuration during drilling as a result of energy provision; detecting said waves by means of at least two sensor means arranged on mutually opposite sides of said tool member adjacent to, on a certain distance from, said tool member, which sensor means are based on inductive and/or capacitive detection of said waves in said tool member; and based on results of said detection, determining said efficiency of said drilling process.
Arrangement for assigning and drilling bore holes
An apparatus and method for assigning drill holes. The apparatus is arranged to determine a forthcoming position of a bottom of a new drill hole before it is drilled. The forthcoming position of the drill hole bottom is determined on the basis of the current location and direction of a tool and a planned length of the drill hole.
