SELECTIVELY BYPASSING FLOAT COLLAR

A body defines a central flow passage. A check valve is located within the central flow passage. The check valve is supported by the body. The check valve is arranged such that a fluid flow travels in a downhole direction during operation of the float collar. An auxiliary flow passage is substantially parallel to the central flow passage and is defined by the body. The auxiliary flow passage includes an inlet upstream of the check valve and an outlet at a downhole end of the float collar. A rupture disk seals the inlet of the auxiliary flow passage. The rupture disk is configured to burst at a specified pressure differential.

LINER/CASING BUOYANCY ARRANGEMENT, METHOD AND SYSTEM

An arrangement for a buoyant liner or casing string including a shoe plug affixed to the string and configured to hold a pressure differential from a higher pressure outside of the string to a lower pressure inside of the string and to unseat upon a pressure differential of a higher pressure inside of the string to a pressure outside of the string.

Self-deflecting multilateral junction

Provided is a self-deflecting multilateral junction, a method, and a well system. The self-deflecting multilateral junction, in one aspect, includes a deflection device having an uphole end and a downhole end, the deflection device including a main tubular, a first flow path off the main tubular and operable to couple to a wellbore, a second flow path off the main tubular and operable to couple to a lateral wellbore, the second flow path having a lateral seal bore, and a deflecting ramp. The self-deflecting multilateral junction, according to this aspect, further includes a lateral stinger positioned within the main tubular and releasably coupled to the deflection device, the lateral stinger including a nose end configured to extend into the second flow path, a valve member, and a lateral seal for engaging the lateral seal bore.

DIFFERENTIAL FILL VALVE SLEEVE BALL ASSEMBLY

A valve assembly has a housing defining a flow passage therethrough. A first flapper is disposed in the housing. A first sleeve retains the flapper in an open position. At least one lock ring holds the first sleeve in a first position. A tripping ball engages a plurality of disconnected bodies in the sleeve and a force is applied to move the first sleeve from the first to a second position.

A reaming assembly having an inner mandrel including spiral lobes disposed on an outer surface thereof. The inner mandrel is hollow and is sized large enough to freely pass a standard drill bit therethrough. The reaming assembly includes an outer mandrel disposed around the inner mandrel and includes spiral lobes disposed on an inner surface of the outer mandrel. The outer mandrel has a number of spiral lobes equal to the number of spiral lobes of the inner mandrel plus one. The reaming assembly includes a spacing between the outer surface of the inner mandrel and the inner surface of the outer mandrel through which fluid is pumped to generate torque therebetween; wherein at least one of the inner and outer mandrel is free to rotate.

SEALED DOWNHOLE EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE EQUIPMENT

A method and apparatus for preventing fluid flow and contamination to a cement body includes a resin cap covering an exposed end of the cement body. The cement body may attach an inner sleeve to an outer sleeve. The fluid flowing through the outer sleeve is prevented from contacting the exposed surface by the resin cap. Resin caps at both ends of the cement body along with resin layers along the side may be included. The resin prevents contamination and creation of micro-annuli in the cement body.
