Combined organ and hematopoietic cells for transplantation tolerance of HLA mismatched grafts
Methods and compositions are provided for combined transplantation of a solid organ and hematopoietic cells to an HLA mismatched recipient, where tolerance to the graft is established through development of a persistent mixed chimerism. An individual with persistent mixed chimerism, usually for a period of at least six months, is able to withdraw from the use of immunosuppressive drugs after a period of time sufficient to establish tolerance.
MULTISPECIFIC AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL MOLECULES AND USES THEREOF
Multispecific molecules that include i) a tumor-targeting moiety; and one, two or all of: (ii) an immune cell engager (e.g., chosen from an NK cell engager, a T cell engager, a B cell engager, a dendritic cell engager, or a macrophage cell engager); (iii) a cytokine molecule; and/or (iv) a stromal modifying moiety are disclosed. Additionally disclosed are nucleic acids encoding the same, methods of producing the aforesaid molecules, and methods of treating a cancer using the aforesaid molecules.
Method for producing an antitumoral vaccine based on surface endothelial cell antigens
Accordingly to the method of the preparing of the tumor vaccine with the use of endothelial cells, live endothelial cells are treated with a protease at mild (non-deadly for cells) conditions, the splitted surface antigens are collected, the treatment of live endothelial cells is repeated after intervals which are necessary for the recovery of the surface antigens by the cells, surface antigens are accumulated until their necessary quantity is reached, the quality of the vaccine is controlled thereafter. The technical result obtained with the use of this invention consists in the enhancement of the efficiency of oncological disease treatment due to the damage of the tumor vessels caused by overcoming of the immune tolerance of organism to the endothelial cells (EC) of tumor vessels. Here one means the overcoming of immune tolerance namely to activated EC, which allows to damage mainly to the tumor vessels by the immune system.
METHODS
The present invention relates to a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) which comprises an antigen-binding domain which selectively binds TCR beta constant region 1 (TRBC1) or TRBC2; cells; such a T cells comprising such a CAR; and the use of such cells for the treatment of a T-cell lymphoma or leukaemia in a subject.
Methods and compositions for treating cancers
The inventors provide a new therapeutic strategy to treat cancers expressing embryonic antigens. Accordingly, the present invention relates to a method of treating a subject suffering from a cancer comprising a step of administration simultaneously, separately or sequentially to said subject a therapeutically amount of i) a population of derived engineered fetal stem cells carrying cancer associated fetal neo-antigen and ii) a compound selected from a group which activates immune response, as a combined preparation.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING CANCERS
The inventors have developed a metastatic 4T1 breast tumor model in BALB/c mice. They have shown that the vaccination with xenogeneic embryonic stem cells in combination with valproic acid (VPA) generates a higher anti-tumoral response against breast cancer and inhibits metastasis development. They established that these responses are achieved only by the addition of valproic acid in the therapeutic regimen in comparison to the use ESCs or iPSCs alone. Thus, the inventors provide a new therapeutic strategy to treat cancers expressing embryonic antigens. Accordingly, the present invention relates to i) a population of pluripotent cells and ii) a compound selected from a group which activates MHC expression, as a combined preparation for use in a method for treating a subject suffering from a cancer, comprising a step of administering simultaneously, separately or sequentially to said subject a therapeutically amount thereof.
Universal mammalian influenza vaccine
The present invention provides vaccine or immunogenic compositions comprising novel antigens derived from the equine strain of influenza H3N8. These proteins and specific immunogenic domains are effective as primary universal influenza antigens. The disclosed vaccines or immunogenic compositions are highly effective in inducing HA specific antibodies reactive to different influenza viruses, mucosal and systemic immune responses, and cross-protection regardless of influenza virus subtypes. In some embodiments, the vaccine is cross-protective against two or more (e.g., 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6) subtypes of influenza with or without the use of an adjuvant.
Platform for generating safe cell therapeutics
Provided herein are cytoplasts, compositions comprising cytoplasts, methods of using cytoplasts, and methods of treating a subject, such as providing benefits to a healthy or unhealthy subject, or treating or diagnosing a disease or condition in a subject. In some embodiments, methods of treating a subject include: administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a cytoplast. Also, provided herein are compositions (e.g., pharmaceutical compositions) that include a cytoplast. Also, provided herein are kits comprising instructions for using the compositions or methods.
SMALLPOX VACCINE FOR CANCER TREATMENT
Disclosed herein are methods and compositions related to therapy for cancer. More specifically, the disclosed methods and compositions are related to the use of smallpox vaccine to induce an effective anti-tumor immune response.
COMBINED ORGAN AND HEMATOPOIETIC CELLS FOR TRANSPLANTATION TOLERANCE OF GRAFTS
Methods and compositions are provided for combined transplantation of a solid organ and hematopoietic cells to a recipient, where tolerance to the graft is established through development of a persistent mixed chimerism. An individual with persistent mixed chimerism, usually for a period of at least six months, is able to withdraw from the use of immunosuppressive drugs after a period of time sufficient to establish tolerance.
