PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS FOR CORRELATING WELL LOGGING DATA
Processes and systems for correlating well log data sets from well logging passes within a well bore. In some embodiments, a process for well log depth matching can include normalizing a first well log from a first logging pass obtained within a well bore and a second well log from a second logging pass obtained within the well bore, performing a pre-shift, performing feature picking to identify one or more features along the second well log, performing normalized cross-correlation based optimization between the first well log and the second well log to match the one or more features along the second well log to the same one or more features of the first well log and generating a shift table for depth shifting the one or more features of the second well log and the first well log.
Downhole rock debris extraction system and control method for downhole rock debris extraction system
A downhole rock debris extraction system is provided. The downhole rock debris extraction system includes a downhole marking component, a ground control component and a ground detection and extraction component. The downhole marking component is arranged at a drill bit for underground excavation or near the drill bit, and is configured to mark rock debris by spraying different types of markers in real time during the underground excavation performed by the drill bit; the ground detection and extraction component is configured to detect the types of the markers on the rock debris; and the ground control component is configured to manage and control the downhole marking component to mark the rock debris, and to manage and control the ground detection and extraction component to determine the types of the markers on the rock debris. Furthermore, a control method for the downhole rock debris extraction system is provided.

DOWN HOLE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A bore hole measurement system includes a cable with spaced apart embedded elements along a length of the cable, a sensor for detection of the elements as they move relatively past the sensor, and a processor for determining the distance that the cable has travelled based on the detections of elements that have moved past the sensor. A method includes detecting the elements moving past a sensor, and determining the distance that the cable has travelled based on the detections of elements that have moved past the sensor.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING DEPTH WITHIN A BOREHOLE
Disclosed herein, in one aspect, is a system for determining depth within a borehole. The system can comprise a downhole device comprising at least one inertial sensor, at least one processor, and a memory in communication with the at least one processor. The memory can comprise instructions thereon that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive data from the at least one inertial sensor and store the data from the at least one inertial sensor in the memory with respective correlated time values. The system can further comprise a drill rig comprising at least one depth measurement device. The at least one depth measurement device can comprises a drill string position sensor that is configured to produce a measurement indicative of a length of a portion of a drill string removed from a borehole or a wireline sensor that is configured to determine a length of deployed wireline cable.
