Drop Chute Deflector For Enhancing Entrainment Of Granular Product In An Airstream Of An Agricultural Product Applicator
20190357423 · 2019-11-28 ·

A granular product delivery arrangement and method for an agricultural product applicator utilize a granular product deflector disposed below an inflow slot in a substantially horizontally extending supply line for enhancing entrainment of the granular product in an air stream passing through the supply line. The deflector has a body configured for enhancing entrainment of the granular product dropped through the slot into the flow of pressurized air passing through the supply line by directing the granular product toward an inner wall of the supply line adjacent the inflow slot, and directing the air stream away from the inflow slot in a manner that maintains a substantially unobstructed path for the airstream through a central area of the supply line and provides multiple zones within the supply line for the granular product to be entrained into the air stream.

Embodiments of a sprayer system having spray nozzles; each nozzle includes a thermistor or resistor that provides an electronic current or voltage value correlated with a flow rate or a local temperature. A low flow rate indicates of a fluid flow clog or plug within the nozzle or conduit. The flow rate or temperature results among the different nozzles are compared to detect which nozzles are partially or entirely clogged or otherwise anomalous. In various embodiments, the thermistor electronics are integrated in each individual nozzle. In some embodiments, upon detection of a potential clog, the electronics create an alert and respond to the clogged condition.

System and computer-implemented method for facilitating transfers of product containers between a station and an autonomous machine

A control system is operable to control an autonomous machine for autonomously applying one or more products to a jobsite in accordance with a set of operation instructions. The products are stored in one or more interchangeable containers which are initially located on a station. The control system broadly includes an alignment sensor and a machine processor. The alignment sensor is configured to sense and generate alignment data regarding a relative position of the station and a particular container that contains a particular product. The machine processor is configured to align the autonomous machine with the station and the particular container based on the alignment data from the alignment sensor, and transfer the particular container from the station to the autonomous machine; move the autonomous machine over the jobsite and apply the particular product from the particular container in accordance with the set of operation instructions; and align the autonomous machine with the station based on the alignment data from the alignment sensor, and transfer the particular container from the autonomous machine to the station.

Multi-tank air cart tender with individual tank conveyors

A vehicle includes a frame, a plurality of tanks supported on the frame and housing particulate, an unloading system, a lifting mechanism, and a positioning system. The unloading system includes a plurality of individual carriers, each of which corresponds to one or more of the tanks. Each of the carriers defines a discharge opening for dispensing particulate unloaded from one or more of the tanks. The carriers are mounted to the frame such that the carriers are supported independently of the tanks. The lifting mechanism includes a shiftable positioning rail that at least partially supports each of the carriers, with generally vertical shifting of the positioning rail simultaneously raising or lowering each of the discharge openings. The positioning system includes a plurality of positioning devices, with shifting of each of the positioning devices resulting in fore-and-aft shifting of the corresponding one or more of the discharge openings.

Downward elbow with cyclonic effect and product overflow capability

An air system for supplying product to the product tank of an agricultural implement has an air supply and at least one elongated conduit for delivering air entrained product to the tank. There is at least one outlet in the tank formed as a hollow elbow having a generally downwardly directed outlet, a generally upwardly directed outlet and a transverse inlet coupled to the conduit. The elbow includes an upper generally cylindrical region comprising a cyclone chamber for swirling the incoming air entrained product directing at least a portion of the air flow upwardly toward the upwardly directed outlet while allowing the product to fall in a generally helical pattern through a generally frusto-conical region, whereby material migrates downwardly and air upwardly releasing the material to fall in a gentle spiral and air to exit from the upper region of the tank.
