Rock bolt assembly comprising a sensor assembly
A sensor assembly for a rock bolt, wherein the rock bolt includes a central rod, a split tube and a wedge anchor assembly fitted around the central rod, a rock plate, and a nut for attachment to an outer end of the central rod. The sensor assembly includes a distance sensor, a bracket for attaching the distance sensor to an outer portion of the split tube, an elongate spacing member configured to be fitted around the split tube between the nut and the rock plate to keep the nut and the rock plate spaced apart. The spacing member has an opening extending along at least a portion of the length thereof, the opening being sized large enough to allow movement of the bracket along a portion of the length of the spacing member with the distance sensor attached to the outer portion of the split tube by the bracket.
Spring suspension clip
A spring suspension clip configured to suspend a threaded rod member comprises a helical body with an upper end and a lower end, and a clipping section defined as the helical body. Then the clipping section is configured to conform to a threaded section of the threaded rod member to flexibly suspend the by two outward extensions into a space which is drilled and positioned within a section of rock which is to be grouted.
SPLINE DRIVE DRILL STEEL COUPLERS
An assembly which includes a first member with torque transmission elements, and a coupler which connects together, in a rotatably driving relationship, the first member and a second member. The coupler includes an intermediate section disposed between an axial forward end and an axial rearward end of the coupler, a forward section extending between the intermediate section and the axial forward end, and a rearward section extending between the intermediate section and the axial rearward end. The intermediate section includes torque transmission elements for engaging with the torque transmission elements of the first member, to facilitate transmission of torque from the first member to the coupler. The torque transmission elements of the coupler are automatically brought into a torque-transmitting relationship with the torque transmission elements of the first member when the coupler is engaged with the first member. Other variants and embodiments are broadly contemplated herein.
MESH SUPPORTING ROCK ANCHOR
Disclosed is a rock bolt assembly for installing a mesh panel against a rock face which includes a rock bolt which has an elongate body extending between a first end and a second end, a cylindrical bush engaged with the bolt body, towards the second end, the cylindrical bush having a plurality of annular or arcuate grooves formed in an exterior of the surface of the bush and a washer having a plate-like body with an aperture formed there through.
SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING AGAINST A HAZARD OF DRILL ROD FAILURE IN A DRILLED ROCK BORE
The present invention provides a safety system (1) for protecting against a hazard of a drill rod failure in a drilled rock bore (B) above horizontal, and especially a hazard posed by a broken drill rod section (S) lodged within the bore (B). The safety system (1) comprises: a plug member (2) for insertion into a proximal end region (E) of the bore (B) adjacent a rock-face (F), the plug member (2) being configured to be fixed within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B); and an impact reduction member (5) for reducing an impact of the broken drill rod section (S) striking the plug member (2) within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B). The impact reduction member (5) is configured to be located within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B) and to extend within the bore (B) above the plug member (2).
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPONENT WEAR MONITORING
A monitoring system includes a fastener. A sensor is coupled to the fastener. A circuit board is electrically coupled to the sensor. An antenna electrically coupled to the circuit board.
Dolly for Rockbolt
A rock bolt dolly for connecting a self-drilling rock bolt to a rock bolting apparatus includes a drive shaft having a central bore and defining a proximal end and a distal end defining an engagement means for engagement with a corresponding engagement means located on the proximal end of the rock bolt. A sleeve is mounted over the distal end of the drive shaft and arranged to slide along and over the drive shaft and defines a female engagement means at a distal end, for engaging with a nut threaded onto the proximal end of the rock bolt. The interior of the sleeve and exterior of the drive shaft are configured to rotate together about their central axis. A spring biases the distal end of the sleeve away from the distal end of the drive shaft. The dolly operates in two modes, one in which the nut and rod rotate together, and a second where the nut rotates on the rod.
Device, system and method for dynamic testing of ground support bolts, anchor bolts or rock bolts
A connector, an associated dynamic testing system and method for testing rock bolts or rock anchors in situ. The connector is attached to a rock bolt/anchor and supports a hanging load via a shaft. The connector has a body of two halves retaining upper first and lower second connectors having respective curved surfaces. Each of the two halves has a curved inner surface allowing limited relative rotational movement of the first and second connectors relative to the two halves when a load is applied. A load cell and accelerometer register the load applied to the rock bolt/anchor through the connector and any resulting movement of the rock bolt/anchor.
BREATHER TUBE INDICATOR
The invention provides a breather tube indicator device which includes a sealing body which is adapted to fit within a breather tube of a grouted rock support installation to allow passage of air past the body, without the body moving relatively to the tube, but to resist passage of an adhesive material thereby to cause movement of the body relatively to the tube to an indicating position.
