LIPID-BASED DUST CONTROL PRODUCTS
20190185726 · 2019-06-20 · ·

A dust control product includes a lipid, a second component that corresponds to a surfactant and a dilutant. The second component and lipid are processed together to create a lipid emulsion in which the second component acts as a protective colloid. Lipids include animal fats like tallow, lard, chicken fat, and/or butter, as well as plant-based fats like palm oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, vegetable oil, soybean oil, trans fats, and peanut oil. The second component may correspond to one or more of polyethylene glycol, a polyethylene glycol derivative, a sugar alcohol, a sugar alcohol derivative or another alcohol or alcohol derivative. The dilutant may correspond to water, a saline solution, glycol, glycerin or a combination thereof. The dust control product may include a third component, including a preservative, an extender and/or a humectant.

Water atomisation device
10322425 · 2019-06-18 · ·

A water atomisation device for water evaporation and/or dust control. The device includes: a generally longitudinally hollow housing; a fan; a motor; and a hollow manifold. The housing extends between an inlet end and an outlet end, with the inlet end defining a first air inlet to an interior of the housing. The fan is within the housing, between the inlet end and the outlet end. The motor drives the fan. The manifold is shaped to generally correspond to that of the outlet end and has a plurality of water injector nozzles directed substantially inwardly and away from the outlet end. A distal edge of the outlet end is longitudinally spaced apart from a proximal edge of the manifold to define a second air entrainment inlet to an interior of the manifold.

An apparatus for dispersing liquid flame retardant mixtures mounts in the bucket of mine scoop. The apparatus has a housing which is generally sized to fit within a mine scoop bucket while leaving space in the bucket for moving mine material. The housing has a reservoir within it for holding a fire prevention mixture. The mixture is a liquid mixture and the apparatus has a motor, pump, tubes, and nozzles for dispersing the fire prevention mixture. The apparatus accommodates a hydraulic cylinder for moving the mixture dispersing apparatus back and forth within the scoop bucket. Some embodiments of the apparatus have a front face with scraper blade elements that operate as a scraper blade similar to scraper blades in scoop buckets that do not have the apparatus in place.
