Railway points, railway points operating apparatus and railway track crossing

A railway points arrangement 10 for a railway track junction comprises at least first and second pairs of longitudinally-extending, parallel-spaced static stock rails 12, 14, defining respectively a first route and a second route, and a pair of longitudinally-extending, parallel-spaced switch rails 16 which are movable between a first position in alignment with the first pair of stock rails 12 to select the first route and a second position in alignment with the second pair of stock rails 14 to select the second route. At least one of the movable switch rails 16a cooperates with at least one stock rail 12, 14 of each of the first and second pairs of stock rails 12, 14 when the movable switch rails 16 are in the first and second positions, and the at least one switch rail 16 and the at least one stock rail 12, 14 are shaped to define a mating profile 50 which aligns the switch rail 16 and stock rail 12, 14 and prevents transverse movement of the switch rail 16 relative to the stock rail 12, 14.

Rail system, for an electrical pallet conveyor system

Rail system for an electrical pallet conveyor system, having a switch point which is arranged between a main track and a plurality of secondary tracks and which includes a plurality of moving rail sections. Depending on their position, the rail sections are able to connect the main track to the secondary tracks. The moving rail sections which are associated with one rail of the main track are in this case mounted on a first moving slide, and the moving rail sections which are associated with the second rail of the main track are mounted on a second moving slide which can move independently of the first slide. A dedicated drive which can be separately actuated by a control device is associated with each slide.

Intersecting track and switching device

An intersecting track includes: two main tracks; a pair of first guide portions disposed in the main tracks and guide a pair of first guide wheels of the vehicle; a pair of crossover tracks disposed over the main tracks to intersect each other; a second guide portion disposed inside each of the pair of crossover tracks and guides a second guide wheel; a switching portion that switches a direction of the vehicle to a direction along the main tracks and a direction along the crossover track; and a switching device disposed in an intersecting area of the second guide portions in the pair of crossover tracks, selectively switches a direction to a direction along one of the second guide portions and a direction along the other of the second guide portions, and guides the second guide wheel in any one of the directions.

A railway switch mechanism including first and second switch blades, wherein a switch point of each of the first and the second switch blades is vertically displaceable by means of a displacement mechanism in order to establish a switch movement in the respective switch point, wherein the respective displacement mechanism includes at least one pair of cooperating wedges having a lower wedge and an upper wedge, wherein at least one wedge of the at least one pair of cooperating wedges is arranged to be displaced in a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal direction of the switch blade or parallel with a longitudinal direction of the switch mechanism, and wherein the switch blades are elastically deformable in the vertical direction or pivotally connected by hinged joints to first and second closure rails respectively for enabling the vertical displacement of the switch blades.

Moveable Point Frog Friction-Reducing Assembly

A solution is disclosed comprising a moveable point frog friction-reducing assembly configured for installation at or near a moveable point frog (also referred to as a swing nose crossing). In one aspect, the moveable point frog friction-reducing assembly is configured to use a plurality of roller assemblies to reduce friction. In another aspect, the moveable point frog friction-reducing assembly is configured to use a sliding block to reduce friction. Some of the many benefits of the disclosed solution are to increase the operational life of a moveable point frog, reduce the maintenance costs of a moveable point frog, and to protect property, and more importantly human lives.
