An installation for cleaning ballast of a track includes a plurality of vehicles having machine frames supported on on-track undercarriages. Two shoulder clearing chains, positioned opposite one another relative to a transverse direction of the track, take up ballast located in a shoulder area adjoining sleeper ends, an endless clearing chain follows the shoulder clearing chains relative to a working direction of the installation and is to be guided around the track for taking up ballast underneath the track. A screening installation, conveying devices for transporting ballast, and a ballast introduction device are also provided. A first conveying device transporting ballast to the screening installation is associated with the shoulder clearing chains. A second conveying device transporting ballast to a processing unit is associated with the endless clearing chain. A third conveying device transporting ballast to the screening installation is associated with the processing unit.

System, method and appartus for in-situ, dynamic repair of a railroad

A device for in-situ, dynamic repair of a railroad can include two connected machines. A first one of machines can be a track lifting unit that can clamp the rails of the railroad and lift the track in its entirety out of its track bed. The first machine also can plow ballast away from and/or toward the rails, and level the track bed for the rails before they are lowered. In addition, the track lifting unit can remove selected railroad ties. The second machine can include a power unit that can provide hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical power to both machines. The power unit also can provide track stabilization by settling ballast and can free debris from the railroad while it is raised.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PROFILING AND DISTRIBUTING BALLAST OF A TRACK

The invention relates to a machine for profiling and distributing ballast of a track, having a frame supported on on-track undercarriages and lateral ballast pick-up devices which are adjustably fastened to the frame, wherein each ballast pick-up device is actuated by a conveyor drive. In this, the machine is designed in such a way that, in an inoperative position, the upper contours of the machine are arranged below a delimiting plane which slopes downward in the working direction and extends through a field of vision of a driver's cabin of a rail vehicle to be coupled to the machine at the rear end thereof. Thus, the machine can be employed as a leading wagon of the rail vehicle, wherein sufficient visibility from the driver's cabin to the track is ensured.

System and Method for Sub-grade Stabilization of Railroad Bed

The invention is a system and method for repairing, improving, and stabilizing subgrade and subsoil/natural ground layers of a rail bed generally consisting of softer soils. One embodiment includes a method of installing subsurface inclusions and ballast fills comprising injected slurry mixtures of stabilizing material such as cement grout mixed with in situ soil. Another embodiment includes a system of installed ground inclusions and ballast fills. Another embodiment includes an integrated system of equipment for emplacing the system of inclusions and ballast fills.

METHOD FOR CLEANING A BALLAST BED OF A TRACK
20240158993 · 2024-05-16 ·

A method for cleaning a ballast bed of a track using track-bound machines, includes removing ballast below a track panel with a cleaning machine and ballast removal device. Cleaned and/or new ballast is placed in the track in layers relative to a working direction, by a ballast placement device and ballast train. The placed ballast is compacted by a tamping machine and stabilizing machine. Prior to a first tamping, all layers of new and/or cleaned ballast are placed by the ballast placement device and ballast train. The ballast bed is compacted in different depth layers during first tamping by a deep tamping unit. The track is stabilized by the stabilizing machine. The track panel is immediately tamped in one depth layer by the same or another tamping machine in a second tamping, and the track is stabilized after second tamping by the same or another stabilizing machine.

Vehicle combination for cleaning ballast on a track

A vehicle combination for cleaning ballast on a track consists of a first ballast-collecting vehicle at the front with respect to a working direction, equipped with two edge-clearing chains which are mutually opposed across the width of the track and are designed to collect the ballast lying in a track bed region adjacent to the sleeper ends, and also consists of a subsequent second ballast-collecting vehicle having a continuous clearing chain that can be placed around the track to collect the ballast lying under the track, and comprising sieve systems for cleaning the ballast. In front of the first ballast-collecting vehicle there are two mutually separable sieve vehicles disposed one behind the other in a longitudinal direction of the machine and each having a sieve system. The two sieve vehicles can be loaded via a first conveyor belt line with ballast collected by the ballast-collecting vehicles. The two ballast-collecting vehicles are connected by a detachable coupling arrangement and linked to a second conveyor belt line for transporting cleaned ballast to discharge arrangements.

TUNNEL CLEANING DEVICE

The invention relates to a cleaning device for the dry cleaning of a tunnel, comprising a feeding device for feeding a flow of air to a surface being cleaned, wherein the feeding device has an exit opening, through which the flow of air emerges from the feeding device, and a removal device comprising at least one removal pipe with a free end with an opening for suctioning away direct or trash from the surface with the opening of the free end in a first direction. The feeding device is arranged such that the flow of air from the exit opening emerges from the feeding device in a second direction toward the opening of the free end of the removal pipe and impinges on the surface. The first direction is oriented at an angle between 45 and 80 to the second direction.
