MODULAR EXPANSION JOINT SYSTEM
20240133134 · 2024-04-25 ·

A modular expansion joint system with equidistance control. The modular expansion joint system includes transverse vehicle load bearing members which are positioned in a gap defined between adjacent spaced-apart structural members, support members positioned below the transverse vehicle load bearing members and extending across the expansion joint gap between the adjacent structural members, means positioned within the structural members for controlling movement of the support members, and means for controlling the spacing between the transverse vehicle load bearing members. The means for controlling the distance between the transverse vehicle load bearing members comprises a non-elastomeric compressive member, such as at least one coil spring which, which according to certain illustrative embodiments, maintains a substantially equal distance between transverse vehicle load bearing members.

STRUCTURAL JOINT

The present invention relates to an expansion joint to bridge an expansion gap between two parts of concrete slabs used in floor construction, especially in the manufacture of concrete floors such as for example in industrial floors. Such expansion joints are evidently required to take up the inevitable shrinkage process of the concrete and to assure that the floor elements can expand or contract such as for example occur by temperature fluctuations and resulting in a horizontal displacement of the floor panels vis-?-vis one another.

The present invention is directed to a perforated tactile warning device comprising a tactile panel and a porous concrete slab. The tactile panel includes perforations to allow water to pass through the tactile panel and the tactile panel is secured to the porous concrete slab such that a space exists between the tactile panel and the porous concrete slab. Further, the porous concrete slab may include channels to collect water and direct water within the porous concrete slab. Further still, where the concrete slab includes channels, the concrete slab may be nonporous and may utilize drainage holes to permit water to pass through an otherwise nonporous concrete substrate.

Durable joint seal system with detachable cover plate and rotatable ribs

A system which creates a durable seal between adjacent horizontal panels, including those that may be curved or subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear. The durable seal system incorporates a plurality of ribs, a flexible member between the cover plate and the ribs and may incorporate a load transfer plate to provide support to the rib from below, and/or cores of differing compressibilities.
