MODULE FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTING A PATHWAY FOR TRAFFIC
A module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic comprises a base member and a top plate is securable to the base member and having a plurality of horizontally spaced upwardly projecting button structures, including solid button structures and fastener-receiving button structures. The solid button structures are each integrally formed with the top plate. The fastener-receiving button structures each comprise an upwardly projecting peripheral portion and a depressed central portion. The fastener-receiving apertures are disposed one within each of the depressed central portion and are each surrounded by the upwardly projecting peripheral portion. A cap member is securable within the depressed central portion of each fastener-receiving button structure. To form a pathway for traffic, the modules are placed in perimeter-edge to perimeter-edge relation, and each top plate is secured to the base member by fasteners extending through the fastener-receiving apertures and securely engaged in the base member.
Heatable module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic
A heatable module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic comprises a base member having a perimeter edge. A top plate is securable to the base member in overlying relation to the top surface of the base member. An electrically powerable heater member retained by at least one of the base member and the top plate. To form a heatable pathway for traffic, the modules are placed in perimeter-edge-to-perimeter-edge relation one to the next.

Heatable pathway system for traffic
A heatable pathway system for traffic comprises a first module having a first electrically powerable heater member and a second module having a second electrically powerable heater member. The first module and the second module are each installable in place to form a heatable pathway system for traffic. An electrical power controller circuit has a first power output connected in power supplying relation to the first electrically powered heater member and a second power output connected in power supplying relation to the second electrically powerable heater member. The electrical power controller circuit is operable to provide electrical power from the power outputs in a heating cycle that comprises a first heating sub-cycle and a second heating sub-cycle such that, during a heating cycle, a first one of the electrically powerable heater members is on and a second one of the electrically powerable heater members is off during the first heating sub-cycle, and the second electrically powerable heater member is on and the first electrically powerable heater members is off during the second heating sub-cycle.
De-Icing Paving Tile
Herein is disclosed a ground tile for melting snow and ice. The ground tile includes a flat housing having upper and lower walls and opposite sides, the upper and lower walls and opposite sides defining an interior space. The ground tile also includes first and second electrodes disposed in the interior space, the first and second electrodes being spaced apart accordingly from one another. The interior space is filled with an aqueous glycol solution, the aqueous glycol solution being configured to heat up by electric resistance when an AC current is applied between the first and the second electrodes.
Temperature-sensitive antifreezing material for asphalt pavement and method for preparing same
A temperature-sensitive anti-freezing material for asphalt pavement and a method for preparing same. A temperature-sensitive macro molecular organic matter is employed in the anti-freezing material instead of a traditional sustained release agent, and coated on the surface of the chloride particle having an anti-icing anti-freezing effect; and then the temperature-sensitive anti-freezing material for asphalt pavement is prepared by sieving and drying processes. The anti-freezing material can automatically respond to and control the release temperature of the chloride in the anti-freezing material according to the outside temperature, increase the anti-freezing effect duration of the chloride in the asphalt pavement effectively, and extend the service lifetime of the anti-freezing material.
