Methods & Compositions to Increase Performance of Asphalt Cement Concrete comprising Recycled Asphalt Pavement
Embodiments of the invention are amendments to hot-mix asphalt (“HMA”) which open new price/performance areas to asphalt cement concrete (“ACC”) pavement. Equivalent-performing pavement may be made at lower cost, or higher-performing pavement may be made at equivalent-to-prior-art cost. The amendments, recycled asphalt pavement (“RAP”, and including recycled asphalt shingles [“RAS”]), and reinforcing fiber (aramid fiber) may be adjusted as described herein to achieve a desired price/performance target.
Indirect heated heating/drying/mixing drum for processing recycled asphalt products and method therefor
An indirect heating, drying and mixing chamber has a drum. A mixing/conveyor mechanism is positioned within the drum mixing and moving materials through the drum. An enclosure is provided wherein the drum is inserted within the enclosure to form an upper section of the enclosure between the drum and a top surface of the enclosure and a lower section of the enclosure between the drum and a bottom surface of the enclosure. A plurality of heat openings is formed on the bottom surface of the enclosure. A plurality of heating elements is provided, wherein an individual heating element is coupled to a corresponding heat opening, the plurality of heating elements generating heat which travels along the lower section of the enclosure and through the upper section of the enclosure heating the material in the drum.
MOBILE ASPHALT PLANT
A mobile asphalt plant for producing asphalt includes a heating unit, a container unit, a plurality of augers, and an injector. The heating unit includes one or more heaters to generate heated gas, a tank to hold heat transfer oil, and one or more first plenum tubes extending from the heaters to within the tank. The first plenum tubes transport the heated gas to the tank to heat the heat transfer oil. The container unit includes a hopper to receive the aggregate material and one or more second plenum tubes extending from the one or more first plenum tubes and extending within the hopper. The second plenum tubes transport the heated gas from the first plenum tubes to heat the aggregate material. The augers are arranged as a series of augers, with a first one of the augers receiving the aggregate material from the hopper. Each of the augers conveys the aggregate material to a next one of the augers. Each of the augers heats the aggregate material using the heat transfer oil from the tank. The injector is connected to one of the augers and injects asphalt oil into the aggregate material to produce asphalt.

Plant for the production and distribution of bituminous conglomerates
Plant for the production and distribution of bituminous conglomerates and operating method of the plant, wherein the plant has a dryer having a first portion and of a second portion, which are connected to each other in series one after the other.
Planning system and method for coordinating road milling tasks
The invention relates to a planning system and method for operating one or more road milling machines. In that context, material properties of a road are captured and are geographically associated with one or more roads or road segments. Based on the material properties, an expected milling output of a road milling machine is ascertained, in the context of carrying out milling tasks on the road, or an expected wear on the milling tools. An optimized sequence of milling tasks to be carried out is created on the basis of those data. Accordingly, the invention may enable optimized deployment of the one or more road milling machines and of resources necessary for carrying out the road milling tasks. Aspects of the planning system may be remotely implemented for centralized application with respect to each of the road milling machines, or locally implemented for individual road milling machines.
