Steerable system for asphalt milling attachment
A steering mechanism and guidance system for a milling attachment device provides steering capability without impeding cutting depth control. The steering mechanism has at least one wheel that is rotated by an actuating mechanism such as an extending cylinder, synchronized actuators, or the like. The steering mechanism may be integrated with depth control by using a parallelogrammic structure with pivot points to assist in the depth control or may operate independent of and without impeding depth control.
Temporary tape removal hub for tape removal machine
A one-piece integrally molded tape removal hub for a temporary tape removing apparatus which includes a length of cylindrical tube and a sleeve having a noncircular through bore extending into a portion of the cylindrical tube at an end thereof. A plurality of webs extend from the outer surface of the sleeve to the inner wall of the cylindrical tube. The portion of the cylindrical tube extending from the sleeve to the opposite end of the cylindrical tube is hollow.
Road milling machine and method for measuring the milling depth
A method is provided for measuring the milling depth of a road milling machine, the machine being operative to mill a ground surface with a milling roller lowered to a milling depth to create a milling track, the machine including at least one side plate located to at least one side of the milling roller to engage an untreated ground surface, and the machine including a stripping plate operative to be lowered onto the milling track generated by the milling roller. The method includes measuring the milling depth of the milling track, the measuring including detecting a measurement value of a ground engaging sensor engaging the milling track.
Roller arm assembly for temporary tape removal machine
A roller arm assembly for a temporary tape removal machines which roller assembly supports a spool assembly on a vehicle that removes temporary tape from a pavement surface. The roller assembly is attached to a chassis or frame of the vehicle and is pivotal between a raised and lowered position. The roller assembly includes a lower arm member and an upper arm member which are rotatably coupled together. The upper arm member supports a spool assembly and a hydraulic motor that rotates the spool assembly. The upper arm of the roller assembly can be rotated with respect to the lower arm to allow the spool assembly to be position on either side of the vehicle chassis or frame.
Temporary tape removal hub for tape removal machine
A tape removal hub for a temporary tape removing apparatus which includes a hub plug having a noncircular through bore complementarily shaped to receive the noncircular shaft portion of a spool spindle shaft of the temporary tape removing apparatus and a length of pipe or tubing into which the hub plug is inserted.
Malleable surface material
An improved surface material is particularly suited for non-turf baseball field applications such as the pitcher's mound and base paths. The material generally comprises clay, wax, alkane fluid and sand and has a putty-like consistency. Cleats can penetrate the material but are not likely to pull it out in clumps upon removal of the cleats. Method for forming the surface includes spraying emulsified wax and/or alkane fluid on a surface and mixing it with the surface material.
Traversing front arm
An arm assembly for a waterjet truck according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes a traversing mount bracket at a first end of the arm. The traversing mount bracket is configured to permit the arm to translate in a linear direction. The arm further includes a joint configured to permit rotational movement.
Self-propelled milling machine, as well as method for controlling a self-propelled milling machine
In a self-propelled construction machine comprising a machine frame with a longitudinal axis, a controller for the travelling and milling operation, a height-adjustable working drum, and a slewable transport conveyor: that the control system, at least as a function of a virtual trajectory for positioning the transport conveyor which is freely specifiable in a stationary coordinate system that is independent of the position and alignment of the machine frame, controls, by means of open-loop control or closed-loop control, at least the slewing angle of the transport conveyor automatically in such a fashion that a reference point of the transport conveyor always remains on the specified trajectory in the case of a change in position of the machine frame within the coordinate system.
Earth working machine whose rotatable working apparatus, for installation on the machine, is conveyable into its operating position using an onboard actuator
An earth working machine (10) includes a machine body (13) having a machine frame (12) and a drive configuration (46), rotationally drivable relative to the machine frame (12) around a drive axis (A), to which configuration a working apparatus (32) embodied for earth working is releasably connected in torque-transferring fashion, in an operating position operational for earth working, for rotation together around the drive axis (A), such that when the connection is released, the working apparatus (32) is removable from the operating position in an axial direction relative to the drive configuration (46) for deinstallation from the drive configuration (46) and, for installation on the drive configuration, is conveyable into the operating position in an axial direction relative to the drive configuration (46).
