Milling drum with alignment interface

A milling rotor of a milling machine can include a drum, cutting teeth, and a centering ring. The drum can extend along a longitudinal axis and can define an inner surface and an opposing outer surface. The drum can be securable to a drive assembly of the milling machine to allow the drum to rotate therewith. The cutting teeth can be connected to the outer surface of the drum and can be configured to engage pavement. The centering ring can be connected to the inner surface of the drum and can include a centering interface and an alignment interface. The centering interface can extend radially inward and can be engageable with a centering flange of the drive assembly to center the milling rotor with respect to the drive assembly. The alignment interface can be adjacent the centering interface and can extend radially inward of the centering interface.

A method for coupling a machine frame (12) of an earth working machine (10) to a working device (28) between the machine frame (12) and a substrate (U) encompasses the following steps: arranging the machine frame (12) and the working device (28) between the machine frame (12) and the substrate (U); aligning the receiving portion (42) and working device (28) relative to one another in such a way that fastening formations (56, 60) of the working device (28) are lined up, along a spacing direction, with fastening counter-formations (58, 62) of the machine frame (12); bringing the fastening formations (56, 60) and fastening counter-formations (58, 62) closer to one another; and operably fastening the working device (28) onto the receiving portion (42).

According to the present invention the aligning step encompasses the following sub-steps: connecting the machine frame (12) and the working device (28) to one another by means of a connecting apparatus (76), in such a way that the working device (28) is movable in response to its weight, parallel to the effective direction of gravity (g) and orthogonally thereto, relative to the machine frame (12); then allowing the working device (28) to hang on the machine frame (12); and then supporting the working device (28).

Ejector unit for a road milling machine or the like

The invention relates to an ejector unit, in particular for a road milling machine, having an ejector that is replaceably mounted on a carrier. In one aspect the ejector is curved in a scoop-like fashion. In another aspect the ejector is reversible upon the carrier to allow the ejector to be reversed after one wear surface is worn, thus presenting a new second wear surface.

The present invention also relates to a method for cooling and/or heating lubricant of a transmission of a milling drum mounted rotatably in an exchangeable milling drum box of a ground milling machine, the method comprising the steps: Supplying cooling and/or a heating medium from the ground milling machine to the lubricant located in a lubrication device arranged on the exchangeable milling drum box; cooling and/or heating the lubricant through heat transfer between the coolant and/or heating medium and the lubricant; and discharging the cooling and/or heating medium from the exchangeable milling drum box to the ground milling machine.
