The foam dispersal assembly also includes a water supply line that is in fluid communication with the water tank and the foaming chamber, and a water pump for pumping water from the water tank into the foaming chamber. A spray bar is adapted to dispense foamed asphalt cement from the foaming chamber onto the surface of the roadway in front of the spreader assembly.
COMBINATION DOOR/PLATFORM FOR MAINTENANCE ACCESS FOR CONVEYOR OF MATERIAL TRANSFER VEHICLE
A material transfer vehicle includes a material receiving device that is adapted to receive asphalt paving material, and a receiving conveyor that is operatively attached to the material receiving device. The receiving conveyor is driven by a chain drive assembly and includes a chain tension adjustment assembly. The receiving conveyor is pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis so that it can be moved between a transport configuration in which the material receiving device is raised, an intermediate adjustment configuration, and a working configuration in which the material receiving device is lowered. A housing structure encloses protected components and includes an opening adjacent to the protected components. A combination door and platform is attached to the housing structure and is adapted to be moved between a closed configuration that covers the opening and an open configuration that provides access to the protected components, and also provides a platform on which an operator can stand to access the chain tension adjustment assembly.
System for tracking operating time for conveyor of working machine
A working machine for conducting a roadworking operation includes a conveyor that is adapted to move roadworking material as a part of the roadworking operation. The working machine also includes a sensor which is adapted to determine if a condition exists that is indicative of the conveyor's operating under a load, and a controller which includes at least one timer. The controller is adapted to receive input information including a predetermined operating run-time for a wear part that is associated with the conveyor. The controller is also adapted to receive a signal from the sensor that a condition exists which is indicative of the conveyor's operating under load. The timer of the controller is adapted to use the signal received from the sensor to measure a period of time during which the conveyor is operating under load, and the controller is adapted to compare the measured period of time that the conveyor is operating under load with the predetermined operating run-time for the wear part. If the measured time matches the predetermined operating run-time, the controller will signal the operator that the wear part should be inspected for possible replacement, or should be replaced.
ROAD FINISHING MACHINE OR CHARGER VEHICLE WITH PUSHING MEANS FOR A MATERIAL TRANSFER PROCESS
A road-making machine is provided in the form of a road-finishing machine for producing a paving layer from a laying material or a charger vehicle for supplying the road-finishing machine with a laying material. The road-making machine comprises a material bunker, and a pushing means fixed forward of the material bunker at a chassis, such that pushing rollers of the pushing means may dock to rear tires of a truck. The pushing rollers comprise a pair of first pushing rollers mountable in a first position in a seat of a traverse of the pushing means. Either the pushing means is expandable by at least one changeable attachment to which the first pushing rollers may be mounted in a second position further forward with respect to the first position, or the pushing means comprises a pair of second pushing rollers which may be selectively positioned forward of the first pushing rollers.
MATERIAL PLACER
A material placer includes conveyors on a frame for receiving material from a side dump trailer and conveying the material to a placing location. The conveyors can include a receiving conveyor for receiving material from the side dump trailer through an opening in a side of the placer, a funneling auger for funneling the material so it flows along a narrow flow path, a transfer conveyor for lifting the material after it is dumped from the side dump trailer, and/or a placing conveyor for placing the material at the placing location. The placing conveyor can be movable between a stowed position and a conveying position. A drive system for the conveyor may be located within a conveyor pulley to reduce the envelope of the material placer.
AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF DISCHARGE CONVEYOR OF MATERIAL TRANSFER VEHICLE DURING A PAVING OPERATION
A material transfer vehicle that is adapted to supply asphalt paving material to a paving machine on a roadway has a discharge conveyor with an input end and an output end with a discharge chute mounted thereon. A controller is operatively connected to the elevation control system and the steering control system for the discharge conveyor. The controller is adapted to communicate elevation control signals to the elevation control system for the discharge conveyor so that the elevation of the discharge conveyor may be adjusted based upon communication from the controller. The controller is also adapted to communicate steering control signals to the steering control system for the discharge conveyor so that the angular orientation of the discharge conveyor with respect to the longitudinal axis of the material transfer vehicle may be adjusted based upon communication from the controller. A paver-locating sensor is operatively connected to the controller, and is located and adapted to execute multiple non-contact sensor scan passes across the front end of the paving machine to determine the distance and orientation of the paving machine with respect to the paver-locating sensor. The paver-locating sensor is also adapted to communicate information to the controller about the distance and orientation of the paving machine with respect to the paver-locating sensor.
QUICK-CHANGE ATTACHMENT FOR MATERIAL TRANSFER VEHICLE
A material transfer vehicle includes a loading conveyor and a loading component (such as a truck-receiving hopper component or a windrow pick-up component) that is adapted to be removably attached to the lower end of the loading conveyor. The loading conveyor has a right guide plate on the right side of the lower end and a left guide plate on the left side of the lower end. The loading component has a right guide bracket that is adapted to align with and engage the right guide plate of the loading conveyor, and a left guide bracket that is adapted to align with and engage the left guide plate of the loading conveyor.
