The paving system also includes one or more obstacle detection elements positioned on the paving machine. The paving system further includes a controller in communication with the one or more obstacle detection elements and one or more of the conveyor, the auger, the screed assembly, and the one or more tracks. The controller is configured to receive information from the one or more obstacle detection elements, and control one or more of a width of the screed assembly, an angle of attack of the screed assembly, a height of the screed assembly, an angle of the screed assembly, or a speed of the paving machine in order to maintain a desired height of paving material delivered to a ground surface by the paving machine.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR MATERIAL FLOW CONTROL FOR WIDE-WIDTH PAVING

A paving machine for wide-width paving is provided. The paving machine includes a conveyor system, an auger system disposed adjacent to the conveyor system, a screed adjacent to the auger system, and sensing circuitry configured to sense paving material height at one or more of an entrance to the conveyor system and a front side of the auger system to sense or detect underflow or overflow conditions of the paving material. The sensed heights are communicated to control circuitry of the paving machine, through signals from the sensing circuitry, and control circuitry controls rate of movement of one or more of the conveyor system and the auger system.

The device includes a bracket configured for coupling to a laterally extending paver mechanism of a paver. A post is coupled to and extends from the bracket such that said post is configured for coupling to a paver platform extension such that the paver platform extension is extended and retracted respectively by extension and retraction of the paver mechanism.

PAVING MACHINE FOR APPLYING VARYING CROWN PROFILES

A paving machine is disclosed. The paving machine may have a screed assembly having a left screed section and a right screed section. The paving machine may also have a crown actuator configured to pivot the left and right screed sections about the centerline. The paving machine may have a crown profile sensor configured to detect the crown profile (DP), and a cross slope sensor configured to detect a cross slope (QNL*, QNR*) of the screed assembly. Further, the paving machine may have a controller configured to determine the crown profile (DP) and a cross slope (QNL*, QNR*) of the screed assembly. The controller may calculate a left cross slope (QNL) of the left screed section and a right cross slope (QNR) of the right screed section based on the determined crown profile (DP) and the determined cross slope (QNL*, QNR*), and display the crown profile on the display device.

Screed arrangement

A screed arrangement for a paver machine includes a screed body including a deflector member and a base plate, and an oscillating tamper bar arrangement positioned between the deflector member and the base plate. The screed arrangement further includes a connecting element connecting the oscillating tamper bar arrangement and the screed body to each other.

Adjustable width mold

An adjustable width mold apparatus for a slipform paver includes a center portion and left and right sideform assemblies. The center portion has left and right lateral ends. Left and right adjustable width support assemblies are connected between the sideform assemblies and the center portion. One or more spacers may be received between each sideform assembly and the center portion to adjust the width of the mold apparatus. The spacers may be hung on a plurality of hanger rods. Each of the hanger rods may have a hydraulic nut on one end thereof for clamping the spacers between the sideform assembly and the center portion.
