The control unit may receive the first and second sensor signals, determine a screed width based on the first and second sensor signals, receive location data corresponding to a location of the paving machine, determine locations of the first and second extensions based on the screed width and the location data, generate a boundary map based on the locations of the first and second extensions, and cause an action to be performed based on the boundary map.
Screed extension for a main screed frame of a paving machine
A screed extension for a main screed frame of a paving machine includes an upper frame and a lower frame disposed below the upper frame. A height adjustment system is disposed between, and coupled to, the upper and lower frames. The height adjustment system is configured to moveably couple the lower frame to the upper frame. The height adjustment system includes an upper mounting plate affixed to the upper frame, and a lower mounting plate affixed to the lower frame. The height adjustment system also includes a first tube that is located between and coupled to the upper and lower mounting plates such that a first end of the first tube is configured to establish an interference fit with the upper mounting plate and a second end of the first tube is configured to establish an interference fit with the lower mounting plate.
PAVING SCREED WITH QUICK COUPLING FOR EXTERNAL CONTROL STATION
The present disclosure refers to a paving screed for compacting a paving material, comprising at least one external control station for an operator for controlling at least one operating parameter adjustable on the screed, for example a power of a screed heating system. The external control station comprises a support and at least one operating panel detachably attached thereto as an input unit for the operator for setting the at least one operating parameter. The operating panel is attached to the support by means of a plug connection device having a first plug connector part with at least one first electrical contact part integrated thereon and a second plug connector part with at least one second electrical contact part integrated thereon. Furthermore, an electrical coupling of the two electrical contact parts integrated on the plug connector parts can be produced by a mechanical coupling of the two plug connector parts.
Asphalt screed extension tube adjustment assembly
A screed assembly for a paving machine is disclosed including a main screed portion and a screed extension portion being laterally exterior to the main screed portion. Furthermore, a screed extension tube is coupled to a screed frame and a screed extension portion frame, the screed extension tube adjusts a width of the screed extension portion. The screed assembly may further include an extension tube support mechanism having a bushing circumferentially surrounding the screed extension tube and disposed within a bushing recess defined in the screed extension portion frame. The extension tube support mechanism further having a retainer ring that circumferentially surrounds and is in direct contact with at least a portion of the bushing, and the retainer ring is capable of being adjusted between the bushing and the screed extension portion frame to eliminate an uncontrolled movement of the screed extension tube and the screed extension portion.
STEP ASSEMBLY AND WALKWAY FOR A SCREED
A step assembly is disclosed. The step assembly may include a first step support member and a second step support member to be connected to a screed frame, and a step frame movably connected to the first step support member and the second step support member. The step frame may be movably connected to the first step support member by a first pin engaged with the first step support member and a slot of the step frame. The step frame may be movably connected to the second step support member by a second pin engaged with the second step support member and an aperture of the step frame. The step frame may be biased to a position relative the first step support member and the second step support member by a first biasing member and a second biasing member.
Stiffened Screed Extender Tube
A screed assembly for a paving machine may comprise a main screed having a frame with a fixed width, and an extension screed slidably connected to the main screed and configured to extend laterally from the main screed to a fully-extended position. The extension screed may include a deflector, an inner plate proximate a central axis of the main screed, and an outer plate opposite the inner plate. At least one extender tube may extend between, and may be fixed to, the inner plate and outer plate. Each extender tube may have a shell comprised of a first material with a second material disposed therein, the second material offering increased stiffness to the extender tube so as to restrict flexion of the extender tube when the extension screed is in a fully-extended position.
A SCREED ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a screed arrangement for a paver machine. The screed arrangement includes a screed body including a deflector member and a base plate, and an oscillating tamper bar arrangement positioned between the deflector member and the base plate. The screed arrangement further includes a connecting element connecting the oscillating tamper bar arrangement and the screed body to each other.
Method for the foresighted control of a road finisher
A road finisher having a primary drive unit, a material hopper and a paving screed with a screed heating system that can be operated by energy generated by the primary drive unit is controlled. The screed heating system is operated to heat the screed during paving operation of the road finisher by controlling a temperature of the screed to a predetermined screed operating temperature value or to a predetermined screed operating temperature range. The road finisher anticipates a future operating state of increased energy demand of the road finisher. When a future operating state of increased energy demand has been detected, the screed heating system is operated to heat the screed beyond the predetermined screed operating temperature value or the predetermined screed operating temperature range. When the operating state of increased energy demand is reached, the screed heating system is at least temporarily deactivated.
