MODULAR PANEL FOR PROTECTING PARAPET STRUCTURES
A modular cover panel including two or more cover panels that cover a parapet or barrier along a roadway. Multiple cover segments may overlap one another to form the modular cover panel and each cover panel is individually hung or suspended by brackets affixed to the parapet. Each cover segment has one more surfaces intersecting with other to cover the parapet and a top surface that overhangs a top surface of the parapet. A cable may be disposed through a slot of a hanging bracket and a pin may secure the cable thereby providing a mechanical attachment to the assembly.
Stay-in-place forms and methods and equipment for installation thereof
Stay-in-place forms and methods and equipment for installing thereof. A concrete form includes a vertical component and a horizontal component, the vertical component located substantially perpendicular to the horizontal component. Also, the form includes an interior surface, at least a portion of the interior surface providing a form for supporting uncured concrete; wherein the uncured concrete forms a concrete structural portion upon curing of the uncured concrete; and wherein the interior surface remains attached to the concrete structural portion after curing. The form may include inserts and compatible form attachments. Also, forms including recesses may be utilized to reduce the weight thereof. Lifting equipment and accessories may be utilized to lift the form from a form holder and set same in place. Forms contain the work area as soon as it is installed to minimize fall hazards and the time, costs, and downtime associated with installation of safety measures.
Pre-engineered flat-pack bridge
A variably dimensionable bridge (10) comprising pre-engineered components provided in a kit. The pre-engineered components are constructed of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite material and include at least one floor module (14) for providing a floor; at least two girders (12) for providing opposing substantial vertical sides; and at least two cross beams (16) to lend support to the girders (12). A is a method for constructing a bridge (10) of variable dimensions comprising the use of pre-engineered components provided in a flat-pack kit.
Bridge cap and fastening unit for fastening a bridge cap
A bridge cap which for fastening to a bridge has a fastening unit with a fastener and with a guide device that includes a cylindrical anchor sleeve. This invention also relates to a fastening unit for fastening a bridge cap. The fastening unit is composed of separate individual parts, which in addition to the anchor sleeve, include a separate transition piece that has a first cylindrical section adapted to the diameter of the anchor sleeve and a second cylindrical section oriented away from the first and oriented toward an outside of the bridge cap.
SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING FALL AND SUICIDE
The present disclosure relates to a falling and death leap defense rotating cylinder system, including a supporter; a rotator that is rotatably installed in the supporter, and that inhibits a death leap of a death leap attempter by rotating when grasped by the death leap attempter; and a spiked unit that forms a cutting edge, and that is detachably installed in any one or more of the supporter and the rotator. According to the present disclosure, by the spiked unit detachably installed in the supporter or the rotator, a falling and death leap of a death leap attempter may be inhibited more effectively.
WATERPROOF SHEET AND WATERPROOFING METHOD INCLUDING USING SAME
A waterproof sheet which is for application to a site to be waterproofed in order to prevent rainwater infiltration thereinto and retard deteriorations which proceed with time, the waterproof sheet comprising: a base layer that comprises a silicone rubber composition reinforced with reinforcing fibers and that has physical properties including high strength; and a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive layer that has been formed on one surface of the base layer and that has a low hardness and is highly tacky. The waterproof sheet provided by the present invention less breaks than conventional waterproof sheets because of the reinforcement layer, and can conform to cracks or dislocations occurring in the surfaces to which the waterproof sheet has been applied, due to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on one surface. Since the waterproof sheet includes silicones as main components and is hence excellent in terms of weatherability, heat resistance, and freeze resistance, this waterproof sheet can retain the function required of waterproof sheets, over a longer period.
PRE-ENGINEERED FLAT-PACK BRIDGE
The present invention relates to a variably dimensionable bridge (10) comprising pre-engineered components provided in a kit. The pre-engineered components are constructed of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composite material and include at least one floor module (14) for providing a floor; at least two girders (12) for providing opposing substantial vertical sides; and at least two cross beams (16) to lend support to the girders (12). Also described, is a method for constructing a bridge (10) of variable dimensions comprising the use of pre-engineered components provided in a flat-pack kit.
PIVOTAL GANGWAY HAVING CONTAINER SPOTTING SYSTEM
An apparatus comprising a gangway having a proximal end and a distal end. A cage assembly is connected to the distal end of the gangway. The apparatus further comprises a container spotting system including a camera mounted such that its field of view will show a hatch cover of a container when the hatch cover is in a predetermined location. Video electronics are in electrical communication with the camera. The container spotting system further includes a display device in electrical communication with the video electronics, the display device being operative to show at least a selected portion of the field of view of the camera. The camera may comprise an outdoor dome camera mounted to an underside of the gangway.
Conveying apparatus
The invention relates to a transporting apparatus for transporting people, characterized by at least one structure-borne-sound-transmission region, which is acted on directly or indirectly by a structure-borne-sound transducer which is intended to generate vibrations which, when the structure-borne-sound-transmission region is touched by a person, are transmitted as structure-borne sound via the person's body and are audible to the person.
