Safety net for rockfall protection barriers
A safety net for rockfall protection barriers includes two outer supports anchored to the slope or rock and at least two inner supports anchored to the slope or rock. Rope guide elements are arranged at the upper and lower ends of the outer and inner supports for respectively two upper net body load-bearing ropes and two lower net body load-bearing ropes. Respectively one of the two upper net body load-bearing ropes runs through a rope guide element of the inner supports and one of the two lower net body load-bearing ropes runs through a rope guide element of the inner supports and is guided past neighboring upper and lower rope guide elements of the inner supports.
Throwing toughness buffer mesh unit for rockfall protection and design method of critical throwing angle thereof
A throwing toughness buffer mesh unit for a rockfall protection and a design method of a critical throwing angle thereof are provided. The throwing toughness buffer mesh unit includes a cable column, wherein the cable column is provided with a sliding device on a top end and connected to a foundation structure via a hinged support at a bottom; a support rope, wherein the support rope is connected to the sliding device on the cable column in a sliding way and provided with a spring buffer on an end, wherein the spring buffer is obliquely anchored to a rock mass base near a protection structure; a protection net, which is obliquely hung on the support rope via a connector. A pavement inclination angle of the protection net is adjusted to a critical throwing angle by adjusting a height difference between cable columns to control a throwing track of falling rocks.
Weld-free geocell with cellular structure for soil stabilization
Geocell structures stabilize water body shorelines and beds, slopes and retaining wall bridge abutments in such areas of construction as the oil and gas, transport and hydraulic engineering industries, amongst others. A blank for producing a weld-free geocell is made from a polymer sheet material having incisions therein in the form of segments of parallel lines. Adjacent incisions in the same row have a distance S between the ends thereof and the relationship S/L=K1, where K1 is from 0.1 to 0.5. The incisions of adjacent rows are at a distance D from each other and have the relationship D/L=K2, where K2 is from 0.1 to 0.7. At the ends of the incisions, there are openings which are oval or circular in shape. A weld-free geocell includes at least one blank stretched in a direction perpendicular to the lines of the incisions to form a three-dimensional cellular structure.
Protection system
The present invention relates to a device and a method for energy dissipation with a deformable, longitudinally extending material strip which comprises a longitudinal axis and is installed into a cable which can be subjected to tension; and with a deformation device which is also installed into the cable and cooperates with the material strip, characterized in that the material strip, upon application of a tension force to the cable along its longitudinal axis, can be guided in a straight line through the deformation device and in so doing can be deformed.
Pile-net flexible cable barrier structure and construction method thereof
A pile-net flexible cable barrier structure includes a first V-shaped pile, a second V-shaped pile, a left tension pile, a right tension pile, a first flexible cable net disposed between the left tension pile and the first V-shaped pile, a second flexible cable net disposed between the first V-shaped pile and the second V-shaped pile, and a third flexible cable net disposed between the second V-shaped pile and the right tension pile. A second pile body of the first V-shaped pile are disposed parallel to a third pile body of the second V-shaped pile, openings of the first V-shaped pile and the second V-shaped pile face a same side, the left tension pile are disposed parallel to the first pile body of the first V-shaped pile, and the right tension pile are disposed parallel to the fourth pile body of the second V-shaped pile.
Systems and methods for impact testing and monitoring of high-energy flexible nets
Provided are a system and a method for impact testing and monitoring of a high-energy flexible net. The system includes a vertical impact testing unit, a slope impact testing unit, an impact simulation unit, and an impact monitoring unit. The vertical impact testing unit includes a vertically positioned gravity wall. The slope impact testing unit includes a wall slope positioned perpendicularly to a second side of the gravity wall. A first side of the gravity wall and a slope surface of the wall slope are securely provided with a flexible net, respectively. The impact simulation unit includes an impact assembly and a lifting assembly. The impact monitoring unit is configured to monitor a deformation result and an internal force change result of the flexible net.
