Durable Debris and Alkaline Resistant Preformed Thermoplastic Runway Pavement Marking Compositions
20180313046 · 2018-11-01 ·

Disclosed are PP/PE copolymer backbone based pre-manufactured thermoplastic airport signage compositions primarily applied in relatively large sections onto airport runways, taxiways, and additional paved surfaces. The composition provides alkali resistant formulations comprising at least 6 weight percent PE/PP, 20 weight percent binder resin with between 5 and 15 weight percent of a tackifier resin, between 2 and 12 weight percent titanium dioxide with an optional organic dye, wherein the intermix is at least 30 weight percent of the composition and wherein the intermix is an inorganic filler that greatly reduce or eliminate debris resistance when compared to other polymer backbone compositions.

Crack-resistant thermoplastic road marking

The present application generally relates to a thermoplastic road marker having improved crack-resistance, to compositions of such road markers, and to methods of making and applying these road markers. Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a thermoplastic road marking composition, comprising: ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and/or ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymers in an amount of between about 1.5 wt % to about 6.0 wt %; and core-shell particles in an amount of between about 0.5 wt % and about 3.0 wt %. In at least some embodiments, the EVA and/or EAA have a melt flow index equal to or less than 45 g/10 min at 190 C.

Pelletized Thermoplastic Pavement Marking Compositions Using Glass Dust Filler
20180265714 · 2018-09-20 ·

A pelletized thermoplastic road marking material is provided in which glass dust rather than calcium carbonate is used as the filler. Such glass dust can account for up to 55 weight % of the final formulation. Glass dust is a readily available and inexpensive byproduct of glass manufacturing which otherwise has little or no commercial value. Use of the glass dust is effective if the thermoplastic composition is prepared in pelletized form and performs comparably to a thermoplastic composition having calcium carbonate filler, while producing a higher yield.

Highly visible colored pavement treatments

Collapsible Perimeter Barricade

A barrier system includes a plurality of barriers that can be used to form a barrier wall. Each barrier includes a first panel at least partially bounding a cavity and a first leg assembly supporting the first panel in an elevated position. A plurality of spikes are removably disposed on the first panel. A flexible snare is disposed within the cavity of the first panel, the snare being secured to the plurality of spikes so that when the spikes are removed from the first panel, the snare is drawn away from the first panel by the spikes.
