An intelligent cone comprises a base; a cone section; at least one light; a 360 degree motion sensing system; a fan; and at least one hardware processor; and one or more software modules that are configured to, when executed by the at least one hardware processor, receive information from the sensing system indicating that a person is approaching the intelligent cone, activate the at least one light as a warning to the approaching person, and operate the fan to dry a spill or moisture that is creating a safety issue.

GATE SAFETY BARRIER ASSEMBLY

A gate safety barrier system is provided for use at a loading dock to prevent accidental or inadvertent movement of a loading dock vehicle and/or personnel through an access passageway provided on the loading dock. The gate safety barrier includes a pair of bollards positioned on opposite sides of the passageway and a horizontal center member pivotally mounted on pivot bollard. The horizontal center member includes two sections connected together by means of a center hinge. The horizontal center member moves to close and block the passageway. When in the closed position the horizontal center member spans the distance between the bollards. The system provides safety, ease of use, and improved functionality which protect personnel while the assembly is being moved between closed blocked passageway to open unblocked passageway.

Shock absorbing retractable bollard systems

A bollard system includes a post extension to extend upward from a floor, a first collar to encircle the post extension, a first connector to encircle the post extension adjacent to the first collar, and a first handrail to be connected to the first connector. The bollard system includes a second connector to encircle the post extension adjacent to the first connector, a second handrail to be connected to the second connector, and a second collar to encircle the post extension adjacent to the second connector. The first collar is invertible selectively to a first lock position and a first release position, the first connector having greater freedom to rotate relative to the first collar when the first collar is in the first release position than when the first collar is in the first lock position.

STANCHION OR POST WITH A SPRING-LOADED ASSEMBLY
20210071438 · 2021-03-11 ·

A socket mounted post system including a post with a hollow base portion attached to a spring mechanism. The spring mechanism includes a pillar, the pillar having a finger extending from the hollow base portion. The finger is engageable with a socket that is mountable in a floor. The spring mechanism allows the post to flex angularly relative to a vertical orientation of the post.

ANTI-RAM CRASH GATE

PORTABLE BARRIER CLIP
20200240096 · 2020-07-30 ·

Components for a visual safety warning barrier or for a guide barrier to identify allowable and/or prohibited traffic areas are described. A clip (1) is attached to a tubular member (2). The clip (1) has a body member (3) with spaced first (4) and second (5) ends to define an open segment (6). The diameter of the body member (3) is substantially identical to the diameter of the tubular member (2). An open hook (8) extends from the outer surface (9) of the body member (3) to accommodate the link (10) of a chain. The tubular member (2) is urged through the open segment (6) causing the first (4) and second (5) ends to flex outwards sufficient for the interior surface (7) of the body member (3) to mate with the exterior surface (11) of the tubular member (2) as the ends (4,5) return to their initial positions, retaining the clip (1) on the tubular member (2). By applying sufficient pressure either to the tubular member (2) or to the clip (1), the ends (4,5) again flex enabling release of the clip (1). When used in a barrier system, the chain (25) can readily be detached from the hook (8) creating a passageway. Where there is an immediate and urgent requirement to pass through the barrier, pressure applied to the chain (25) releases the clip (1) from its stanchion (23), allowing the clip (1) and chain (25) to drop to the floor and creating the necessary passageway.
