A socket mounted post system including a post with a hollow base portion attached to a spring mechanism. The spring mechanism includes a pillar, the pillar having a finger extending from the hollow base portion. The finger is engageable with a socket that is mountable in a floor. The spring mechanism allows the post to flex angularly relative to a vertical orientation of the post.

An apparatus includes a support member, a flexible elongate member to extend and retract through an opening in the support member, and a stop member including a region to interface with the flexible elongate member. The stop member engages with structure of the support member surrounding the opening to limit a distance with which the flexible elongate member extends through the opening. The stop member cooperates with the structure of the support member to maintain a gap between a surface of the region of the stop member and the structure of the support member. A width of the gap is equal to or greater than a thickness of the flexible elongate member.

A method and system for reserving seating at a venue using a band system associated with rentable seating, the band system comprising a retractable band, controller, user interface, and sensors to detect band position or tampering or unauthorized use of the seating. A closed position indicates the seating may be available for rental, subject to prior reservations, and an open position indicates the seating is not available for rental. Requested reservations or rental time are compared to prior reservations to determine if seating is available for rental. An alert is initiated if tampering or unauthorized use is detected or a rental period ends and the band is still in the open position. Optionally, goods or services may be ordered by a user renting seating, orders and alerts monitored, and a user's rental activity may be tracked for rewards or limitation purposes.

A temporary barrier system that is configured to be placed adjacent a concrete divider on a roadway wherein the temporary barrier system provides an increased vertical barrier so as to inhibit seeing therepast. The temporary barrier system includes a storage container having the body of the present invention stored in its first position therein. The body of the present invention is planar in manner and stored in a rolled position in the storage container. The body is wrapped around a winding apparatus and includes an end that is configured to be secured to a deployment vehicle. The deployment vehicle traverses away from the storage container to deploy the body to its second position. A barrier stand for a barrier comprising an elastic cable, has an elongate member (2) of generally tubular form and being adapted to be mounted on a base so as to stand in a vertical position. The stand has a hollow top section, and at least one slot (6) extending downwardly from the top of the top section and being open at its upper end, the slot (6) being adapted to receive a cable. A clamping device (4) is located in the hollow section and is biased resiliently to a clamping position for clamping a cable securely to the stand.
