Vehicle gate assembly
A vehicle gate assembly includes a first post and a latch post comprising a J-slot formed along a face of the latch post, the J-slot comprising a primary vertical slot extending from an open top end of the primary vertical slot at a top side of the latch post to a bottom end of the primary vertical slot, a horizontal slot extending from the bottom end toward the first post, and the horizontal slot comprising a trap extending toward the top side of the latch post and a beam movable between an open position to allow vehicles to drive through a vehicle passage and a closed position blocking the vehicle passage, and a pin extending from the beam, the pin disposed in the J-slot when the beam is in the closed position.
GATE FOR CONTROLLING ONCOMING TRAFFIC ON A ROADWAY
A gate for controlling oncoming traffic on a roadway (e.g. a highway). The gate comprises an arm movable between an extended position in which the arm extends into a given portion of the roadway to inform the oncoming traffic that the given portion of the roadway is closed and a retracted position in which the arm does not extend into the given portion of the roadway and thus leaves open the given portion of the roadway for the oncoming traffic. The gate also comprises a control system comprising an actuator and configured to support the arm and move the arm between the extended position and the retracted position. The arm may be quite long and vertically wide to close more of the roadway and be clearly visible to the oncoming traffic, while the gate may be crash-tested (i.e., compliant with crash-testing criteria), the control system may be compact, and the gate may be reusable and easily repairable if crashed into.

GATE
The present subject matter provides a gate for controlling passage of vehicles including: at least one first blocking element configured to swivel about a first pivot axis; and at least one second blocking element configured to swivel about a second pivot axis, wherein the first blocking element and the second blocking element are configured to swivel one opposite the other in a manner that a gap is formed between the first blocking element and the second blocking element, wherein the gap is set to allow or block passage of vehicles through the gap. Additional embodiments of the gate are disclosed herein.

PORTABEL EXIT/ENTRY GATE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
A portable entry/exist gate system including a barrier gate mechanism (1) having a movable gate arm (2); wherein the barrier gate mechanism (1) is securely attached to a base plate (4) including two channels (5) parallel to each other having openings (6) such that the forks of a forklift can easily slide into said openings (6) and channels (5) to securely lift, move and place the gate system in a desired location.
GATE SAFETY BARRIER ASSEMBLY
A gate safety barrier system is provided for use at a loading dock to prevent accidental or inadvertent movement of a loading dock vehicle and/or personnel through an access passageway provided on the loading dock. The gate safety barrier includes a pair of bollards positioned on opposite sides of the passageway and a horizontal center member pivotally mounted on pivot bollard. The horizontal center member includes two sections connected together by means of a center hinge. The horizontal center member moves to close and block the passageway. When in the closed position the horizontal center member spans the distance between the bollards. The system provides safety, ease of use, and improved functionality which protect personnel while the assembly is being moved between closed blocked passageway to open unblocked passageway.

RELEASE MECHANISM FOR A GATE OR OTHER APPARATUS SUBJECT TO BEING IMPACTED
A gate for controlling oncoming traffic on a roadway, in which an arm of the gate is releasable (e.g., detachable) when the arm is in an extended position and impacted by a vehicle such as a heavy truck, bus or other large vehicle, so as to enhance safety and reusability of the gate. Different modes of releasing (e.g., detaching) the arm may be used depending on where the arm is impacted and mechanics involved (e.g., bending moment and shear force). Also disclosed are other apparatuses in which other traffic-related devices (e.g., signs) or other impactable devices are releasable (e.g., detachable) when impacted.
THERMAL LOCKOUT FOR A MOTOR OF A GATE CROSSING MECHANISM
Examples described herein provide a computer-implemented method for thermal lockout for a motor of a gate crossing mechanism. The method includes monitoring a motor current across a sense resistor of the motor. The method further includes determining a present thermal capacity unit (TCU) at a time interval based on the motor current across the sense resistor. The method further includes determining whether the motor is at a thermal limit by comparing the present TCU to an expected TCU. The method further includes responsive to determining that the motor is at the thermal limit, causing initiating a hard fault.
