Parking Barrier System and Post
The present invention in at least one embodiment provides a post assembly 10, 10.0, 10.00, 10.000, 10.0000, 110, 210, 310 for a parking lot barrier system 11, the post 12 of the post assembly 10, 10.0, 10.00, 10.000, 10.0000, 110, 210, 310 being of any appropriate section and being characterized in that at or near to the base 12.1 of the post 12 there is located at least one aperture 30, 32 which is sized and shaped so as to allow the post 12 to deform elastically under collision loads at low speeds sign posted in parking lots
Frontal impact crash barrier for use in automobile or motorcycle racing circuits
A frontal-impact crash barrier (1) for use in automobile or motorcycle racing circuits, comprising a plurality of impact-absorbing units (2) arranged in reciprocal contact, each in turn comprising: a longitudinal body (3) having an external lateral surface (15), which is hollow and which is arranged vertically; and a plurality of annular elements (4) which are inserted along the longitudinal body (3) so as to externally embrace the longitudinal body (3) and which are stacked on one another so as to enclose the longitudinal body (3) so that the external lateral surface (15) of the longitudinal body (3) is entirely facing the plurality of annular elements (4). The longitudinal body (3) of each impact-absorbing unit (2) can be made of metal. Each transversal section of the longitudinal body (3) of each impact-absorbing unit (2) has a thickness forming a polygon having five sides, or six sides or seven sides.
Tension End Treatment For Guardrail Safety System
According to a particular embodiment, an end treatment for a guardrail safety system includes a terminal portion of a guardrail beam comprising a downstream end and upstream end, a first tension cable coupled to an upstream end of the terminal portion. an extruder configured to receive at least a portion of the guardrail beam and at least a portion of the first tension cable, and a terminal support post installed adjacent the roadway at an upstream end of the terminal portion of the guardrail beam. The extruder includes a narrowing throat providing a channel in which at least a portion of the guardrail beam is disposed. The narrowing throat is configured to flatten the guardrail beam in response to a collision with a vehicle moving the extruder in a downstream direction along the guardrail beam. The terminal support post coupled to an upstream end of the first tension cable.
FLEXIBLE TENSIONED CRASH BARRIER
A roadside crash barrier configured for deflecting errant vehicles towards the road. The barrier comprising at least one tensioned flexible strap comprising a planar face facing the road in use to aid in reducing the chances of injury to motorcyclists, as well as being fast and easy to install.
BALLASTED PROTECTION BARRIERS AND METHODS
An arrangement of barrier modules is joined together at respective ends thereof, to provide movable water or sand ballasted protection barriers for applications such as pedestrian protection, traffic work zone separation, airport runway divisions, and industrial commercial uses. The arrangement includes a first plurality of connecting lugs disposed in a vertically-spaced arrangement on an end of a first barrier module and aligned pin receiving holes disposed in the first plurality of connecting lugs. A second plurality of connecting lugs is disposed in a vertically-spaced arrangement on an end of a second barrier module, with similar aligned pin receiving holes being disposed in the second plurality of connecting lugs. A dual-pin connector joins the first and second barrier modules together, comprising a top portion, a first pin extending downwardly from the top portion, and a second pin extending downwardly from the top portion in spaced relation to the first pin.
FLEXIBLE TENSIONED CRASH BARRIER
A roadside crash barrier configured for deflecting errant vehicles towards the road. The barrier comprising at least one tensioned flexible strap comprising a planar face facing the road in use. Compared to prior art systems, the present invention reduces the chances of injury to motorcyclists, as well as being fast and easy to install. A collapsible end anchor for holding the tension of the straps is also described herein, where the end anchor is configured to reduce vehicle rollover should end on impact occur whilst still retaining the effectiveness of the retained road barrier.
Guard rail system
A protective barrier includes a rigid upright member including a post, a fitting having a housing with a first outer surface and a first inner surface. The housing includes a first hole extending from the first outer surface to the first inner surface; a first end, a second end and an inner chamber defined by the inner surface of the housing and extending from the first end to the second end; the first end having a flange sized and shaped for attachment to an outer surface of the rigid upright; at least one support member disposed within the inner chamber and extending from the first end toward the second end of the housing, the support member including a second hole. The protective barrier also comprises a hollow rail including a third end sized and shaped for being received within the inner chamber, the hollow plastic rail including a third hole; and a fastener extending through the first hole, second hole and third hole such that the hollow plastic rail is secured to the fitting.
