The apparatus also includes a sweep assembly coupled to the chassis and rotatable with respect to the chassis. The sweep assembly is configured to transfer objects from the surface into the receptacle by mechanical action on the objects, and without the use of negative pressure or vacuum suction acting on the objects during the transfer, in response to rotation of the sweep assembly.
LOADING AREA FOR ROAD SWEEPER
A loading area (1) for road sweeper (10) is provided comprising a tub (2) suitable to contain waste and defining at least an opening (20) through which waste can escape from the tub (2), a complementary surface (21) adjacent to the opening (20), a lid (3) configured to occupy, on command, the opening (20); a constraining mechanism (4) constraining in a compliant way the lid (3) to the tub (2) in such a manner to determine at least a closing configuration in which the lid (3) occupies entirely the opening (20), and an opening configuration in which the lid (3) frees entirely the opening (20); operation means (5) operatively connected to the constraining mechanism (4) and configured to bring the constraining mechanism (4) from the closing configuration to the opening configuration or vice versa; in which the constraining mechanism (4) is connected to said tub (2) at the complementary surface (21) and it is configured so that, in the opening configuration, the lid (3) is at least partially superimposed on the complementary surface (21).
PARKING LOT SWEEPER HEAD WHEEL GUIDE
A road or parking lot sweeper head comprises a sweeper base chassis comprised of a wheel carriage having at least two wheels attached. The wheel carriage attaches to an outer side of the sweeper base chassis and comprises a first wheel on a first side of the sweeper base chassis and a second wheel on a second side of the sweeper base chassis. Wherein the first wheel and the second wheel position the sweeper head above a surface at a proper operating height for an associated vacuum and to engage the surface in operation and prevent any portion of the sweeper head from contacting and damaging said surface.

Sweeping machine with side loading broom
A vehicular sweeping machine includes a frame and a broom assembly that is mounted to the frame. The broom assembly includes a broom enclosure, a left hub that is mounted on a left hub mount arm, and a right hub that is mounted on a right hub mount arm. A broom is mounted between the left hub and the right hub. An outer tube is attached to the rear of the broom enclosure and to one of the left and right hub mount arms. An inner tube has a fixed end that is attached to the left or right hub mount arm to which the outer tube is not attached. The inner tube also has a free end that is adapted to slide within the outer tube. A linear actuator is attached between the broom enclosure and the left or right hub mount arm to which the fixed end of the inner tube is attached. The linear actuator is adapted to move the hub mount arm to which it is attached between an inner position in which the broom is engaged with the left hub and the right hub and an outer position in which the broom is disengaged from one or both of the left hub and the right hub.
