WATER SPRAY ADAPTER FOR LEAF BLOWER
A backpack blower is provided with a water spray capability to suppress the generation of dust when used as a blower, and to also allow for use as a basic power washer. A leaf blower power unit having an engine driving a fan is interconnected with a wand having an outlet orifice. A spray nozzle is positioned within the wand adjacent the outlet orifice. A source of liquid to be sprayed is interconnected through a control valve to the spray valve such that a spray of water can be introduced into the vortex of the air being emitted from the wand. Both the speed of the airflow and volume of the water being introduced into the vortex may be regulated by the user in accordance with the use to which the unit is put.
Remote debris tank and related methods
A remote debris tank includes a housing having a top and a bottom discharge opening, a pair of discharge doors mounted to opposing lateral sides of the bottom discharge opening and configured for pivotal movement between an open position and a closed position, and an actuating shaft operably coupled to the first and second discharge doors. The remote debris tank also includes a crank lever having a plurality of vertices, where the crank lever is secured to the actuating shaft at a first vertex and configured to rotate with the actuating shaft. A first radial arm has a first end articulately connected to a second vertex of the crank lever and a second end articulately connected to the first discharge door. Similarly, a second radial arm is articulately connected to a third vertex of the crank lever and extending away from the actuating shaft to the second discharge door.
BLOWER UNIT FOR A HANDHELD BLOWER APPARATUS
A blower unit for a portable handheld blower apparatus has a housing section and a tubular receiving space, formed in the housing section, with a first axial end and a second axial end and with a longitudinal center axis. Arranged in the receiving space of the housing section is an axial blower for generating a blower air flow, the axial blower being driven by a drive motor. The receiving space has an intake opening at its first axial end and a discharge opening at its second axial end. In order to reduce operating noise, an air guide plate is arranged at an axial distance in front of the intake opening, the air guide plate having external dimensions that are greater than the external dimensions of the intake opening. An annular gap that supplies intake air is formed between the air guide plate and an outer periphery of the housing section.
CONCENTRATOR ATTACHMENT FOR BLOWER AIR TUBE
A concentrator nozzle attachment for a blower device is disclosed that increases the airflow velocity of the blower without sacrificing the field of the jetting air. The concentrator nozzle is formed of an outer ring with a centrally located guide surface and is placed at the exit of an air tube. As the air exits the air tube, it's forced to flow around the guide surface, thus increasing its velocity. The attachment is secured to the end of the air tube and so does not alter the outer diameter through which the air exits. In this way, air velocity is increased without reducing its effectiveness.
Blower with Improved Battery Cooling
A blower may include a housing having a handle, an electric motor powered by a battery pack, and a fan assembly operably coupled to the electric motor to force air through a blower tube responsive to operation of the electric motor. The blower tube defines a blower tube axis. The fan assembly creates a low pressure area in a intake chamber that provides the air to the fan assembly. The air enters the intake chamber via at least one radial entrance and an axial entrance disposed in the housing. The axial entrance is configured to receive cooling air that has passed through the battery pack.
Portable electric blower with low reaction torque
A portable blower has an axial fan blower, a handle that has a midpoint of equilibrium, a blowing outlet that is connected downstream of the axial fan, at least one suction nozzle that is connected upstream of the axial fan and has an air intake mouth. The air intake nozzle includes a network of directional channels for homogenizing a flow of intake air, the network of directional channels being formed in the vicinity of the air intake mouth. The blower is particularly useful in the field of portable electric blowers for the maintenance of public spaces.
Air Blowing And Heating Device And Method Of Use
An air blowing and heating device for generating and selectively heating forced air includes a housing, which is tubular and open ended, thus defining an intake port and an outlet port. A blower and a heater are attached to and are positioned in the housing. The blower selectively forces air through the outlet port and the heater selectively heats the air. A battery is operationally engaged to the blower and the heater. A switch is attached to the housing and is operationally engaged to the battery, the heater, and the blower. The switch selectively actuates the blower to generate unheated forced air, enabling a user to blow debris, such as leaves, dust, and the like. The switch also can selectively actuate the blower and the heater concurrently to generate heated forced air, enabling the user to blow and to melt sleet, snow, ice, and the like.
Telescopic Leaf Blower Extension Apparatus
A telescopic leaf blower extension apparatus for extending a leaf blower hose includes a proximal tube that is configured to attach to a flex tube of a leaf blower. A distal tube is coupled to the proximal tube. The distal tube is telescopably coupled to the proximal tube. The distal tube has a retracted position within the proximal tube and an alternate extended position. A clamp means is coupled to the proximal tube and is selectively engageable with the distal tube to prevent the distal tube from moving between the retracted position and the alternate extended position.
Suction excavator with flow reversal and method for controlling same
A suction excavator includes a suction hose with a suction opening for pneumatically receiving solid or liquid suction material using a fast-flowing air stream. The suction excavator has a separator for separating the suction material from the air stream, a filter unit for cleaning the air stream, a fan unit for generating the air stream, and a recirculation channel that is connected to the pressure side of the fan unit via a volume-controllable recirculation opening. A volume-controllable secondary air opening allows secondary air from the surroundings to be supplied to the suction side of the fan unit, downstream from the filter unit in the flow direction. The recirculation channel is fluidically coupleable to the suction hose to generate a positive pressure in the recirculation channel to blow out recirculation air through the suction hose.
STAND-ON DEBRIS BLOWER AND DEFLECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR SAME
