ELECTRIC SNOWBLOWER
Disclosed is a two-stage electric powered snowblower. It has an auger, a blower, and a main drive shaft. A first electric motor is operably coupled to the drive shaft to rotate the drive shaft at a desired speed. The drive shaft is operably coupled to the auger to rotate the auger. The auger rotates to pull snow into the snowblower housing so that it can be forced out of a chute in the desired direction. A second electric motor is operably coupled to the blower to drive the blower at a desired speed which is typically higher than the speed of the auger. The second electric motor is mounted adjacent the first electric motor. The blower is operably coupled to the second electric motor. The drive shaft extends through the second electric motor the blower.
SNOW THROWER IMPELLER
Provided is a snow thrower impeller assembly (24) that defines a mounting slot (84) for a wiper (70). The wiper includes a wiper portion (86) that slides into the mounting slot to mount the wiper to the impeller (54). The wiper contacts an interior wall (56) of an associated impeller housing during rotational operation of the impeller in order to limit a gap (74) between an impeller blade (66) and the interior wall. The wiper can move radially inward and outward to remain in contact with the interior wall without input from the operator. Another embodiment of the impeller assembly includes impeller blades with a first portion (116) and a second portion (118). The second portion extends at a non-zero angle from the first blade portion of the impeller blade. Methods of improving the efficiency of the snow thrower are also provided.
SNOW THROWER
A snow thrower includes a motor, an auger driven by the motor to rotate, a handle device for a user to operate, an auger housing for containing the auger and a frame for connecting the handle device and the auger housing. The auger housing is made of at least two different materials.
Rotor for snow thrower
A snow thrower is disclosed including a rotor assembly having a first auger, a second auger, and a paddle disposed between the first and second augers The snow thrower also includes an intake housing having a first interior surface adjacent to the first auger and a second interior surface adjacent to the second auger, where an outer edge of the first auger has a clearance of less than 1 centimeter from the first interior surface across a sweep of at least 120 degrees, and an outer edge of the second auger has a clearance of less than 1 centimeter from the second interior surface across a sweep of at least 120 degrees.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SAFELY AND QUICKLY REMOVING SNOW FROM NARROW PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR PATHS
A method and system is disclosed which provides for a zero turn stand-on snow blower with only two powered wheels and two free wheeling casters which provides for the ability to blow snow from narrow paths, turn around without leaving the sidewalk, automatically turn off the auger and present a shovel for performing quick detailed shoveling tasks when stepping off the snow blower.
Auxiliary Material Moving Assembly for Snow Plow-Blower or other Material Moving Device
An auxiliary material moving assembly operates in conjunction, independently and/or concomitantly with a material moving machine for proficient handling, removal, and management of material such as snow, ice, and/or other materials. The auxiliary material moving assembly is configured to be mounted on a material moving machine. The auxiliary material moving assembly comprises at least one attachment arm, preferably at least two foldable or rotatable attachment arms, and at least one material moving element. The material moving machine includes a snowplow, snow plow-blower, or other material moving machine. Preferably, the auxiliary material moving element comprises one or more snow cutter, snow beater, screw-like auger, auger, ribbon-cutter, rotary fan, impeller, rotary (sweeping) broom, blower, scraper, paddle or other mechanical device that permits handling, removal and management of snow, ice and/or other materials.
Unique attachment assembly and method of use
Skid-steer type power unit engageable with an implement using an attachment assembly including an attachment frame and a hitch. An arcuate frame member is located forwardly of the attachment frame and is engaged therewith in such a way that the frame member pivots about a vertical axis located forwardly of the frame member and generally centrally positioned relative to the attachment frame. The frame member pivots in response to actuation of a hydraulic cylinder. The power unit includes a system for transferring weight of the implement rearwardly onto the power unit. A belt-drive power-take off system on the power unit powers the implement's operation. An underbelly drop spreader is located between the front and rear wheels of the power unit and a brine delivery system distributes brine from nozzles located rearwardly of the rear wheels. A unique control panel permits operation of all systems on the power unit and implement.
Snowblower
A snowblower includes a main frame, an auger mounted to the main frame via a rotating shaft that defines a rotational axis, a fan rotatably mounted to the main frame coaxially to the auger; and a gear box for operatively coupling both the auger and the fan to an external drive shaft. The gear box has an input shaft for operatively coupling to the external drive shaft, a first output shaft coupled to the auger and a second output shaft coupled to the fan.
Snow thrower
A snow thrower includes a motor, an auger driven by the motor to rotate, a handle device for a user to operate, an auger housing for containing the auger and a frame for connecting the handle device and the auger housing. The auger housing is made of at least two different materials.
Method and apparatus for safely and quickly removing snow from narrow pedestrian and vehicular paths
A method and system which provides for a zero turn stand-on snow blower with only two powered wheels and two free-wheeling casters and which provides for the ability to blow snow from narrow paths, turn around without leaving the sidewalk, automatically turn off the auger and present a shovel for performing quick detailed shoveling tasks when stepping off the snow blower.
