LED marker with vertical mount
11644182 · 2023-05-09 · ·

Provided in this disclosure is an apparatus for marking an implement, such as a snow plow. An elongated tubular member retains an illuminated member such an LED element within the interior. Conductor wiring connects a source of electrical energy to the LED. An enclosing cap includes a crimped end portion secured to the bottom end of the elongated tubular member. A cylindrical end portion has a hollow interior for admitting the conductor wiring for connection to the source of electrical energy. A perpendicular mounting bracket has a horizontal mounting surface and a vertical mounting surface, formed together at a right angle. The horizontal mounting surface is configured for connecting to the cylindrical end portion of the enclosing cap so that the elongated tubular member is disposed in a substantially vertical position. The vertical mounting surface is configured for connecting to a vertical portion of the snow plow.

Moldboard Utility System
20170370059 · 2017-12-28 ·

A moldboard utility system enhances the features of a moldboard, or snowplow on a vehicle by integrating known vehicle components into different sections of the moldboard. Lighting, towing, and powering components commonly found on a vehicle are integrated into the moldboard. A moldboard lighting system includes headlights, turn signal lights, fog lights, spot lights, light emitting diodes, and emergency lights. The lights integrate directly into the various sections of the moldboard. For example, a headlight positions in a central section of the moldboard, directing an illumination onto the roadway. Turn signal lights attach to a pair of wings on the moldboard. The moldboard lighting system positions onto the moldboard in substantially the same elevation and orientation as vehicle lighting. A towing system integrates into the moldboard, enabling a tow line to attach to the moldboard or vehicle tow hook. A powering system integrates into the moldboard, providing access to power.

COUPLING FOR CONTAINMENT PLOWS AND PUSHERS

A pivot coupling system that permits the use of attachable equipment such as material pushers or containment plows with a range of vehicles including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicle (UTV), lawn and garden tractors, small farm tractors, small trucks, skid-steer loaders, etc.

PLOW ASSEMBLY WITH WINGS
20170370060 · 2017-12-28 ·

A plow assembly includes a mounting structure configured to mount at a vehicle, a center plow attached at the mounting structure, and a plow wing mounted at an end of the center plow via a first attachment assembly and a second attachment assembly. Each of the first and second attachment assemblies includes an elongated attachment element and a biasing element. The elongated attachment element attaches a respective rear portion of the plow wing at the center plow and engages the biasing element at the rear of the center plow. The biasing element allows for movement of the attachment element at the rear of the center plow to allow for pivotal movement of the plow wing relative to the center plow. The biasing element limits pivotal movement of the plow wing and biases the plow wing towards a neutral state, where the plow wing is generally normal to the center plow.

Four wheel drive, skid steer snow vehicle with snow plow blade

A snow plow is pivotally mounted to a tractor by a compound mount allowing for multiple blade positions. The mount has an inner portion pivotally mounted about a first horizontal axis to the front of the tractor and an outer portion pivotally mounted about a vertical axis to the inner portion. The plow blade is pivotally mounted about a second horizontal axis to the outer portion. Deicer nozzles spray liquid and a spreader distributes salt and other materials in front of the front wheels of the tractor.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AUXILIARY LIGHTING USING A VEHICLE ELECTRIC PLUG

An auxiliary apparatus may be used with a vehicle having an electric plug. The apparatus may include an auxiliary lighting system having a front facing auxiliary light, a controller, and auxiliary wiring that transmits an electric signal from the electric plug. The controller may be programmed to operate the auxiliary light based directly or indirectly on an electric signal from the electric plug.

Plow for use with automobiles and other vehicles

A personal use plow for pushing, but not limited to, snow and slush from one's driveway by most passenger automobiles and/or ATVs that is attached using a unique strapping and cog bracing system. The plow is made of injected molded structural foam plastic and comes in five (5) separate panels that can be easily assembled into a solid plow blade. This material is lightweight and allows for easy transportation, storage and use. When assembled, the plow can be used either in the front or back of the vehicle. The plow attaches to the vehicle by a special hook, designed as part of this patent, which attaches to the hood, trunk or luggage rack of the vehicle. All parts for the functionality of the plow are contained on the plow itself, so there are no brackets or hitches required to be attached to the bumpers of the vehicle.
