Provided is an underwater repair system for a cavity region of a concrete panel rock-fill dam panel, including a moving platform, a work cabin, a pressure drainage apparatus, a traction apparatus, and a positioning apparatus; the traction apparatus controlling the movement of the moving platform on the surface of a dam concrete panel; the positioning apparatus transmits a detection position; the work cabin is a pressure cabin, the work cabin being connected to the pressure drainage apparatus, and a drill apparatus and grouting apparatus being arranged in the work cabin; the moving platform moves into the cavity region, and the pressure drainage apparatus starts up to drain the water in the work cabin, a partially closed waterless space being formed inside the work cabin, the drill apparatus drilling the concrete panel at the upper end of the cavity region and the grouting apparatus subsequently implementing grouting to complete the repair.
DEVICE FOR ABSORBING A LIQUID PRESENT ON A FLOOR IN THE EVENT OF WATER-RELATED DAMAGE OR A FLOOD
The absorption device includes a hydrophilic powder and a casing which is permeable to a liquid, the casing being composed of an upper layer which is superimposed on a lower layer, the lower and upper layers being connected to each other by strong connections which delimit a confinement zone for the hydrophilic powder in the casing. Advantageously, the lower and upper layers are connected to each other by first weak connections. The first weak connections delimit a plurality of adjacent cells in the confinement zone, each cell enclosing a quantity of hydrophilic powder sufficient to bring about the breakage of the first weak connections which delimit the cell when the hydrophilic powder absorbs a liquid.
MULTIPLEX WATER CUTOFF WALL
Provided is a multiplex water cutoff wall with a simple structure that can control water infiltration into an interior by way of being provided with multiple water cutoff walls and having a configuration to drain water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls with a drainage means such as a pump. A plurality of water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D are disposed in a multiplex configuration with gaps in the wall thickness direction. Drain pumps 4a, 4b, 4c are provided as the drainage means for discharging water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D to the outside. Water that has infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A and 1B when a rise in water level is caused outside the multiplex water cutoff wall during flooding is discharged to the outside of the multiplex water cutoff wall by the drain pump 4a. If necessary, the water cutoff wall can be arranged into a multiplex configuration with a third water cutoff wall 1C and a fourth water cutoff wall 1D, and water infiltrating therebetween is discharged with the drain pumps 4b, 4c. Thus, the level of infiltrating water is lower nearer the interior, and water flood damage can be prevented to a structure in the interior protected by the multiplex water cutoff wall.
Erosion control and water flow control
A bio-friendly water flow control system can include a portable structure adapted to contain organic waste material. The water flow control system can be configured for deployment outdoors to guide water flow to limit erosion. A portable structure of such a system can include a sheath that is configured to contain waste material within an interior of the sheath. The portable structure may be configured to allow a flow of water into the interior of the sheath. The portable structure may include a waste material that includes processed palm frond particles. The portable structure may be configured to absorb a weight of water at least 50% greater than a dry weight of the portable structure.
FLOOD DEFENCE
A stowable flood barrier system comprising: first and second barrier modules each comprising a frame and a barrier panel pivotable with respect to the frame between a stowed position and a deployed position, in which deployed position a base of the barrier panel is sealed against the frame and a free edge of the barrier panel extends clear of the frame to present a barrier segment between lateral edges of the barrier panel, wherein the first and second barrier modules are sealable together in the deployed position along the lateral edges of their respective barrier panels to form a linked flood barrier.
Precast Dam Structure With Flowpath
A precast dam structure includes at least two precast segments coupled together via linkages and a flow path structure. The flow path structure defines a flow path having an intake port and a draft port and is associated with at least one of the at least two precast segments. The flow path structure is configured to provide a change in flow direction, either internally or externally, from the at least one of the at least two precast segments.

SELF-CLOSING FLOOD BARRIER
A self-closing flood barrier for protecting a hinterland against floods includes a housing having a water-side wall and a hinterland-side wall, a water inlet for letting in water into the housing, and a flood barrier element which is movable up and down in the housing. The flood barrier element acts as or includes a forcing element for causing a forced upward movement of the flood barrier element. The flood barrier element is wherein the self-closing flood barrier comprises a hinging clamping element which is hinge-mounted to the water-side wall, the hinging clamping element comprising a clamping piece which, in closed state of the self-closing flood barrier, is hinged against the flood barrier element, such that the flood barrier element is clamped in between the clamping piece and the hinterland-side wall.
Portable water inflatable barrier with anchoring support base
A portable, water-filled barrier system includes a water-fillable module that is internally divided into cells that emulate a section of a sandbag dike or wall, the module being supported by a hollow frame including a base below the module and a rear wall behind the module. Holes allow flood water to enter the frame's interior. A peripheral base rim can surround and restrain the module. At least one brace can extend from behind the rear wall of the frame to underlying terrain, where it can be wedged or staked in place. The frame can be unitary or can comprise separate base and rear wall constructions that can be assembled to form the frame, for example by inserting a portion of one into a trough provided in the other. A fitting can extend between the assembled base and rear wall to allow water to flow between the hollow interiors.
FLOOD-RESISTANT BUILDING EQUIPPED WITH FLOOD BARRIER, AND RENOVATION METHOD
A flood-resistant building is equipped with a flood barrier which enables safe and long-term refuge during floods. In a site surrounding a building, a flood barrier is constructed which encloses nearly the entire periphery of the building. An opening sealing means is connected to an entrance hall and another section serving as an entrance and exit at normal times. The opening sealing means seals the openings of these sections in a watertight manner where the openings are sealed via the opening sealing means. The flood barrier is watertight and at least as tall as the inundation depth estimated to occur in a target area when flooding or storm surges arise. In order to enable long-term refuge, an emergency-use water receiving tank 4 and an emergency-use generator are installed on the roof of the building, and an emergency-use septic tank is installed underground on the site.
