A portable, water-filled barrier system includes a water-fillable module that is internally divided into cells that emulate a section of a sandbag dike or wall, the module being fixed to an underlying base having front and rear boundaries that extend up from base and horizontally restrain the module. The base can be flexible and water filled, or rigid, and can be installed at or below grade. A lid can extend between the front and rear boundaries of a rigid base to cover the unfilled module, enabling the assemblies to be stacked when stored and transported. The lid can be hinged and, when open, can be supported by at least one brace extending from behind the lid to underlying terrain, where it can be wedged or staked in place. Adjacent bases can be joined at the front and rear to maintain contact between adjacent modules.

Hopper for a flexible mat forming system

In embodiments, a flexible mat forming system includes a rotating drum having a plurality of mold cavities; a hopper that receives a hardenable paste and deposits the hardenable paste into the mold cavities as the drum rotates relative to the hopper; and a sheet of mesh material that is fed between the hopper and the mold cavities facing the hopper. The hopper includes a plurality of side walls and a bottom panel having an opening, wherein the plurality of walls and the bottom panel define an interior chamber; and an auger rotatably mounted in the interior chamber and having a plurality of radially extending protrusions along a length thereof, the radially extending protrusions including angled surfaces to displace the material received in the interior chamber along a length of the interior chamber to fall through the opening into the mold cavities.

GABION TYPE PROTECTION STRUCTURE

A free-standing bracing tie is used for reinforcing a mattress type structure constructed with a metal mesh and intended for civil protection works. The bracing tie includes a main structure having a lower portion for connection to a base sheet of mesh of the mattress type structure and an upper portion for connection to a covering sheet of mesh of the mattress type structure. The lower portion and the upper portion are connected to each other by one or more bracing tie branches located in a main plane of the main structure. At least one support member is connected to the main structure so as to extend out of the main plane to produce a three-dimensional bracing tie structure capable of standing alone. The bracing tie can be closed for storage and transport and can be opened at the location for positioning the mattress type structure.

Ecological seawall water close side embankment slope drainage structure and construction method thereof

The present invention discloses an ecological seawall water close side embankment slope drainage structure and a construction method thereof. The ecological seawall water close side embankment slope drainage structure includes a seawall, and further includes a wave dissipation ridge and water collecting wells, wherein the wave dissipation ridge is disposed at an upper side of the seawall, a drainage blind ditch is formed in an upper surface of the seawall, and the drainage blind ditch is matched with the wave dissipation ridge; the water collecting wells are distributed at a lower side of the drainage blind ditch at equal intervals, and lower end portions of the water collecting wells communicate with drainage concealed pipes; and pipe seats are disposed at a lower end portion of an inclined plane of the seawall, lower end portions of the drainage concealed pipes are fixedly connected onto the pipe seats, and flap valves are rotationally connected to lower end surfaces of the drainage concealed pipes. The present invention not only can reduce the erosion degree of sea waves to the seawall, but also can collect seawater going over the wave dissipation ridge and discharge the collected seawater into the sea again.

Ecological remediation method for controlling sulphur pollution inBlack and odorous sludge of rivers

The Invention discloses an ecological remediation method for controlling sulphur pollution in black and odorous sludge of rivers. Firstly, the sludge from pollution layer of the rivers will be dredged and stacked on the banksides with slope protection built along the outer edge of the sludge storage site; then innocent pretreatment will be conducted for the sludge. Specific steps comprise solarization and ploughing, and mixed ameliorant of certain proportion will be added for modification between first solarization and intermittent ploughing. Then, large emergent aquatic plants will be planted on the stacked sludge after pretreatment. The technical method provided by the Invention may control the release of acid-volatile sulfide in the contaminated sludge on one hand and reduce concentration of volatile organic sulfide in the waters on the other hand. With simple technical process and strong operable technology, the Invention meets the current requirements for controlling sulphur pollution in black and odorous sludge of rivers in China and facilitates realizing the goal of long-term control of sulphur pollution in the deposit of the waters.
