The gate receives a flow of fluid, and is able to fall down toward a downstream direction of the flow. The fall prevention unit supports the gate, thereby preventing the gate from falling down. The support release unit releases the support for the gate by the fall prevention unit. The first float is arranged on an upstream side of the gate, is arranged on one of the left side and the right side of the gate viewed from upstream, and is less in the specific gravity than the fluid. The floating prevention unit prevents the first float from floating.

Method for controlling the gate based on the habitat requirement for fish overwintering in rives

A method for controlling the gate based on the habitat requirement for fish overwintering in rivers. According to the characteristics of biological habitat of the river and the habitat demand of fishes during overwintering, the method specifically comprises the steps of: firstly, determining candidate fishes for ecological flow calculation though fish resources investigating and historical data, and then screening out the target fish by adopting hierarchical analysis method; Secondly, establishing a quantitative response relationship curve between target fish physiological adaptions and water temperature, obtaining ecological water level which ensures the target fish overwintering safely according to the vertical temperature distribution, and establishing the relation between water depth and discharge using hydrodynamic model; finally, setting up a gate control system including a radar water level meter in the overwintering areas and an ecological water level management system in a gate control room.

OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE

An opening/closing device according to the present invention includes a gate, a fall prevention unit, a support release unit, a first float, a floating prevention unit, a second float, and a floating prevention release unit.

Floating flap gate

To provide a floating flap gate that requires an auxiliary force of a counterweight or the like, and in which bending does not occur in a forward end portion of a door body, even in cases in which an installation site has a wide span. A floating flap gate 1 having a forward end portion 2c of a door body 2 that is configured to rotate around a base end portion serving as a fulcrum at a time of a rising water, so as to float upwards, and provided with an upper beam 2d attached to the forward end portion 2c of the door body 2 and a door body suspension member 3 contained within the upper beam 2d, and having two ends each being connected to one end of a wire rope 4. A counterweight 5 is connected to the other end side of the wire rope 4 as a pulling device. Bolts 6b are used as adjusting members interposed between the upper beam 2d and the door suspension member 3, and are inserted into bolt holes 6a provided on an upper surface of the upper beam 2d, so as to exert an opposing force to the tension of the wire rope 4 resulting from the weight of the counterweight 5 acting on the door body suspension member 3, the opposing force being applied uniformly to the upper beam 2d during ordinary use.

Disclosed is a method for carrying out ecological water supplement by using tidal power, including the following steps: constructing a first water supplying river channel at an upper and middle reach of an artery and tributaries of a river channel, storing water at high tide and supplying water to the tributaries at low tide based on the first water supplying river channel; and setting a storage tank at an urban river channel, constructing a second water supplying river channel at an other end of the storage tank connected with the urban river channel, and supplying the water to a city based on the interconnected storage tank, the urban river channel and the second water supplying river channel.

DIVERSION POINT WATER DELIVERY CONTROL SYSTEM

A diversion point water delivery control system with a headgate assembly, first gate, and powered actuator for controlling the first gate. A headgate box surrounds the headgate assembly and has a second gate that restricts waterflow to the diversion point. Sensors measure water levels adjacent to the headgate box and determine water flow. A powered control unit connects to the powered actuator and sensors and has a computer with memory to operate the system, as well as a transceiver for sending and receiving instructions and data. In one mode of operation, the first gate may be automatically positioned and repositioned to maintain a predetermined water flow through a diversion to a channeled waterway despite water level fluctuations in a primary waterway from which water is diverted. This helps the system conserve water by preventing overdelivery and over-diversion in water delivery networks.
