AUTOMATIC GATE OPERATION AND SYSTEM STATUS INDICATION FOR MARINE BARRIERS AND GATE SYSTEMS
A system is provided for automatic operation and status indication of a marine barrier gate. Embodiments include a system having a buoyant barrier gate that is movable between a closed position and an open position. An actuator moves the gate between the open and closed positions, and a sensor is operably connected to the actuator to generate data relating to a position of the barrier gate between the open and closed positions. A processor receives the data from the sensor and processes the data to move the gate between the open and closed positions, and detect the position of the gate. A human-machine interface is operably connected to the processor for communicating the detected position of the barrier gate to a user.
SLUICE GATE
A tank arrangement, duplicate cross-sectional restrictions, side roller block, openable reaction roller, openable bottom seal, reaction axle, openable side seal, gate slot inserting steps and a stress reduction cross-sectional restriction are presented to implement an emerging movement type opening/closing gate equipped with advantageous torsion structure. The arrangement enables a gate body to be operated in submerged-body state, the cross-sectional restrictions can correspond to both high tide pressure and tide flow pressure which are different in qualities, the side roller block, the openable reaction roller and the openable bottom seal resolve spatial interference problems in gate operation, compact reaction axles which endure big load enables cross-sectional restriction points at a narrow gap in a storage space, the openable side seal and the gate slot inserting steps prevent side seal rubber from damage and the stress reduction cross-sectional restriction can cut high tide pressure torsion moment by more than 50%.

Water Control Gate
A water control gate pivotable about a horizontal axis. Control may be by a combination of inflatable actuators and ballast chambers in combination with means for preventing over-rotation. Sealing between gate panels and between gate panels and abutments may be by means of seals inflated hydrostatically. The present invention is bottom hinged water control gate actuated by a combination of ballast chambers and inflatable actuators. The invention further includes an inflatable sealing means. The invention is particularly suited for use as a navigation lock gate system or as a flood control gate in a watercourse such as a navigation canal.
Movable tsunami buffer dam
A movable tsunami buffer dam has a unit configured such that a plurality of separate units, each of which having a shape in which a frame made of a light material is sandwiched by a pair of plates made of a light material, is stacked with said plates disposed in a pile; and a locking member for locking said unit to a ground surface such that said unit can rise up from said ground surface and collapse onto said ground surface. The separate units has a structure in which water from a tsunami can advance into a space formed between said plates by said frame. A required thickness is ensured due to said unit being configured such that said separate units are stacked, and the manufacturing cost is reduced to a greater extent than in the case of a dam configured from a single separate unit of said required thickness, because the big size lumber for obtaining the units is very expensive. The unit is installed in a state of being collapsed on said ground surface at normal times, and when a tsunami arrives, said unit rising up due to the force of the tsunami and the buoyancy of the seawater, resisting the passage of the tsunami and reducing the power of the tsunami.
Method and system for a retractable floodwall system
The present invention relates to a retractable floodwall unit that comprises a foundation unit having a plurality of guide tracks along side walls of the foundation unit, a floodwall panel stowed in the foundation unit; and a power system for raising and lowering the floodwall panel. The foundation unit includes a first housing unit enclosing an actuator of the power system, and the floodwall panel includes a plurality of guides that mate with the guide tracks of the foundation unit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A RISING FLOODWALL SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a retractable floodwall system comprising a floodwall panel installed in a housing unit. The floodwall panel is connected with a counter-balance weight. The floodwall panel is capable of being raised from the housing unit and being lowered into the housing unit. The present invention also relates to a method of flood prevention comprising providing a floodwall panel in a housing unit; connecting the floodwall panel with a counter-balance weight; raising the floodwall panel from the housing unit for flood prevention; and lowering the floodwall panel into the housing unit.
