Grid Bar for a Bar Screen of a Filter Unit, and Filter Unit Equipped Therewith
The invention relates to a grid bar for a screen grid (2) of a screen (3) comprising a multiple number of grid bars (1) arranged next to each other and spaced apart from each other, which serves the purpose of separating screening material from a flowing liquid, such as wastewater (5) flowing in a sewer channel (4). In accordance with the invention, it is proposed that the grid bar (1) consists, at least partially, of a plastic reinforced with fibers (6), whereas at least a part of the fibers (6) extend in a longitudinal direction of the grid bar (1). In addition, a screen (3) with a corresponding screen grid (2) is proposed.
SEPARATING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING A SEPARATING DEVICE
A separating grid includes a separating unit arranged, when in use, in a position of inclination obliquely upwards in the direction of flow of running water, fixed grid bars, movable grid bars, and a drive unit connected to the movable grid bars to actuate the movable grid bars to interact with the solid particles and to draw the solid particles out of the running water and to carry the solid particles upwards along the fixed grid bars. A position detection device detects the top position or the bottom position of the movable grid bars. A water level detection device detects the water level of the running water. A control device controls the drive unit according to information from the position detection device regarding the position of the movable grid bars and information from the water level detection device regarding the water level.
System for cleaning rivers and waterways in general
A system for cleaning rivers and waterways in general includes a plurality of floating or non-floating modules configured to rotate at least due to the effect of the thrusting action exerted by the water, and constraining elements configured to constrain two or more of the modules to be substantially aligned with one another along at least one main direction. The constraining elements are configured to ensure that a minimum clearance is provided between each module and an adjacent module, so that the modules do not come in contact with each other during their normal operation, and so that each module, due to its own rotation, pushes waste toward an adjacent module.
Prefabricated vertical geotextile ditch check system
A ditch check system and methods for storm water control are provided. The ditch check system can include a velocity-restricting component of geotextile fabric with one or more porosities configured to control velocities of storm water flows for sediment control and silt retention. The velocity-restricting component can have one or more reinforcing elements to provide additional support against tearing and/or undue movement, as well as attachment points for fastening the fabric to support members. The ditch check system can further include a front water seal and a rear scour guard attached to the velocity-restricting component, and which are substantially impermeable to vertical water flow to inhibit ditch scouring and prevent the flow of storm water under the ditch check system. To facilitate transportation, installation, and assembly, one or more of the components of the ditch check system can be supplied as a pre-assembled package.
