FLOATING-OIL RECOVERY DEVICE
A floating-oil recovery device includes: a bubble-curtain generation mechanism configured to discharge air into water to generate a bubble curtain in the water so as to increase a thickness of a film of floating oil while regulating spread of the floating oil; and an ejector configured to recover an oil-water mixed fluid having the floating oil and the water mixed with each other by jetting high-velocity water toward the film of floating oil enclosed with the bubble curtain to destroy the film of floating oil.
Automated system for cleaning and recovering spilled oil in the ocean using hair felt rollers
An oil spill retrieval system for retrieving spilled oil from the surface of a body of water and including a boat having means for collecting the oil from the water surface and having means for processing the collected oil. A pontoon boat that collects spilled oil from the ocean through a hair roller system suspended between the pontoons. Human hair is present within a porous casing of the roller and Oil floating on the water enters the porous casing whereupon the oil is absorbed by the human hair, wherein the absorbed oil is pass through one or more pipes to go into large pontoons which are the main oil collecting tanks on the pontoon boat.
Waste Management System
A waste management system for plastic or other material floating on the surface and in the subsurface of a body of water. A shredding device will reduce the size of the particles of waste. Ocean water is removed by a drying device. The dried waste material is frozen to a temperature at or below minus fifty degrees Fahrenheit, using liquid nitrogen or other suitable means. The frozen waste material is then pulverized and ground into a powder. The powder may then be sprayed into a gas-filled chamber and heated. Temperature, pressure and humidity are maintained within the chamber for more than one minute. Microwave or other radiation and catalysts may be used to enhance the process of extraction. The processed material is then removed from the chamber. Carbon may be recycled or used as fuel by the ship. Water may be used by the ship or returned to the ocean.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR REMOVING WASTE FROM BODIES OF WATER
The present disclosure relates to devices, systems, and methods for using foam fractionation to remove non-polar waste molecules, including, but not limited to, sewage bacteria, environmental contaminants, and/or sediment/turbidity caused by dredging activities, from open-water aquatic environments. Some foam fractionation systems disclosed herein generally include a plurality of floating foam fractionation devices, each floating foam fractionation device including a floating body, a submerged hood coupled to the body, and at least one submerged air conduits for releasing bubbles into the surrounding water. Other foam fractionation systems disclosed herein generally include a submerged bubble generation device and a floating intake unit positioned remotely from the submerged bubble generation device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PICKING UP OIL FROM THE SURFACE OF WATER
The invention relates to a device for taking up oil from a water surface, comprising a container for receiving the oil and an oil-transporting means, wherein a portion of the oil-transporting means can be brought into fluid communication with the water surface and another portion of the oil-transporting means is disposed within the container, wherein the oil can be transported into the container via the oil-transporting means, wherein the oil-transporting means is formed from a hydrophobic fabric, the surface of which comprises filament-shaped and/or grid-like structures which are designed in such a way that they retain a gas layer on the surface of the hydrophobic fabric under water. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for taking up oil from a water surface.
Water surface cleaning machine
The present invention provides a water surface cleaning machine, comprising a hull, a cleaning device provided at the bottom of the hull for collecting and storing water surface floating debris, a propulsion device provided at the front end and/or the back end of the hull for propelling the hull to travel on the water surface, a steering device provided at the corner portion between the front end and the side edge of the hull, wherein steering device causes the hull to rotate relative to an obstacle for adjusting traveling direction of the hull when the hull comes into contact with the obstacle during traveling on the water surface, and a power unit provided inside the hull for providing power to the propulsion device and the steering device.
TRASH SKIMMER BOAT
A trash skimmer boat including a hull, a connection member, a transmission, a grille assembly, and a measuring member. The hull includes two pontoons and a gap between the two pontoons, and the two pontoons are symmetrical with respect to the gap. Each pontoon includes a deck, a bottom plate, a first side plate, a second side plate, a first sealing plate, a second sealing plate, and a third sealing plate. The connection member includes two longitudinal bars and two transverse bars connecting to one another to form an octothorpe-shaped frame. The transmission comprising a motor, a drive wheel, a driven wheel, a connection plate, and a conveyor belt. The grille assembly including a plurality of flat grilles and a curved grille. The measuring member including a T-shaped frame and a probe. The gap is disposed between two second side plates.
Surface containment system
A surface containment system to contain liquid contaminates escaping from a vessel, the containment system having in one example: a water and oil impermeable barrier liner positioned below the vessel; a perimeter wall surrounding the vessel, the perimeter wall extending vertically from the ground surface and supporting a portion of the barrier liner so as to from a containment reservoir; at least one fluid conduit through the barrier liner, the fluid conduit having a filter configured to retain contaminates and configured to allow water to pass by way of gravity from the reservoir through the impermeable barrier; the perimeter wall formed of a plurality of wall panels connected by way of struts each having a vertical component, a base component anchored to ground.
